Where to start, Our guide David was knowledgeable and explained the history of the area clearly. He was also very warm and friendly so you felt like you were with family. The group loved him. The choice of food stops were fabulous and of all our tours this was our favorite !!

For this tour, as with all our tours, it was the guide who made the experience. Despite everything being "pre-selected" at all the stops , except for the gelato - this wine / this food (and I just can't eat veal), Matteo, our guide, was perfect. He was, of course, knowledgeable and gave us all kinds of history about the area and shops we stopped at and he described what we were eating and history behind it but he was also very engaging. He talked with everyone in the group along the way and helping all the couples get to know each other which is important so that you feel connect when we all sit down at a table and eat together at the end. Would definitely use this tour group again.

Night to remember with new friends

What an incredible night with great food, great guide and by the end of the night great friends. Claudio, our host artfully walked us through the Trastevere through the lens of food and wine. Felt like we knew him forever and made us feel like family. Each stop topped the last. The sit down dinner portion of the tour was the biggest surprise of all. The pasta was amazing and we had thought were were done and BOOM! The last dish they brought blew us away. We also ended up purchasing some wine to take back home. The very last stop was for Gelato which was the perfect way to end the evening. If you are going to do a food tour, this is the one you want to take.

Frederica was wonderful! Lots of history, life and info along with the food tour. A really fun evening. She’s a great history teacher, but very entertsining too. We would go again. Wonderful cheese and wine and a lovely stroll thru Rome’s neighborhood. Well worth the money. Do yourself a favor and go meet other Roman travelers.
