Our guide Marco was fabulous sharing so much info on the history of Trastevere, the people & the food that makes it such a popular night spot to visit. The food was YUM at the 5 places we stopped at especially the continental deli with a selection of meats, cheeses & olives together with some wine. The tour is a great way to familiar where to go to enjoy an evening out. Highly recommend taking this tour, it'll be even better, if your guide is Marco.

Eating our way through Travestere

In addition to tasting some great food, our guide pointed out some landmarks and gave us a bit of history, including a description of the Jewish Ghetto. We tasted some familiar foods like pizza and gelato, but also suppli (a rice and beef ball) and porketta. We covered a lot of ground in a couple of hours and were stuffed by the time it was over. My only issue with this tour was at the beginning. Our guide was late and there were other food tours beginning here. Once she got there, she mistakenly said we were not in her group. She did apologize for the mixup, but it was not a very welcoming start.

Great street food tour. We did this tour on our first night in Rome and it was perfect for discovering Trastevere (a must for any visitor!) and delicious foodie places. Our guide Elisa was great and gave us loads of tips of places to eat as well as the history of the area, and the food we were eating. The suppli was the highlight and we went back for more another night, but we could have had any of the food again - it was all delicious!

The tour was great and we got lots of great food! Everything was delish and we were stuffed by the end. The pace of the tour was perfect and it was nice how the guide shared stories about the history of the neighbour hood. My only wish was that the guide's English was a wee bit better and that she spoke louder as it was often hard to hear her. All in all I'd highly recommend this tour.

This tour was marketed as a food tour, which it largely was, but it was also a typical tour with lots of explanations of things in Trastevere that one would probably miss completely without a guide. And we had a great guide - Monica! Her explanations were clear, easy to hear on a busy Saturday night, very informative and often amusing too. She offered great advice on how to tell a good authentic local restaurant from a crappy one for tourists. I'd love to do another tour with her one day!

Our tour guide, Monica, was simply EXCELLENT! Although the weather wasn’t the best, she made our tour an amazing one. She was very knowledgeable, fun and made an excellent choice of food stops. We tried from supplì, porchetta, wine, authentic Roman pizza, to an amazing gelato! I simply loved it! 😍

Tour of Trastevere was disappointing. Mostly walked through back alleys. Cheese and wine was fine. But food was pretty awful. Terrible, horrible pizza. And eating rice balls in a crowded street with people jostling by not fun. There's is no pasta, as advertised pictures suggest. And no sitting to engage with other guests or enjoy a bite. All standing or ona stool joke in a narrow bar stall for the awful pizza. Guide needs to rethink where he takes people.

This was our introduction to Rome and it was FABULOUS. Francesca was a wonderful guide, very informative and fun! It was a terribly hot day and there was a great deal of walking, but we were able to taste many different foods. We loved it all and were pleasantly surprised with the fried artichoke. Thank you for an enjoyable tour.
