Very busy on Saturdays, which was not unexpected however at points it felt like you couldn't move for bumping into somebody else which was a little claustrophobic.

The tour was rushed, started late, cut short, voice quality was poor, the guide was knowledgeable, and his stories may have been OK, but they were told too fast, quite difficult to understand.

Lengthy delay, but ultimately help for disabled party member.

Awful waste of money

The exit was the best part. Too much walking, too hot and why has the Vatican museum have mostly Egyptian stuff and miles of it? The Sistine chapel was packed with people and very noisy with mini skirt, mini shorts etc. exactly what you’re not supposed to wear! Won’t be doing that ever again.

Not worth the money - no skip the line

Well if you haven't done the Sistine Chapel already don't bother adding it to your bucket list. Very disappointed with how they shoved us all through like cattle. We weren't even allowed to walk slowly to admire it. In fact it was so noisy and packed with people that I didn't even know I was in there! Wasn't until we were just about to exit that I could look up and behind without being knocked over by the throngs of people to see the famous painting and realised what we had just been jostled through in literally 30 seconds! Not a very Christain sharing of wealth and wonder - will not be converting to Catholicism! This was all after being forced to go through a maze of museum corridors with only the one way out. None of this was the fault of the tour operator but our 'skip the line' ticket actually meant 'stand in a queue for 45 minutes'. When I questioned this I was told it is how the Vatican organise it! Ok, granted we could have potentially waited much longer but the advert on Viator and our voucher stated' guaranteed skip the line' - not true. Should be more honestly advertised. The place was impressive but we felt we had been mislead/missold. St. Peter's Square was much better and it didn't cost us anything!

Too much of a good thing?

Our tour guide, Fred, is very knowledgeable about the artifacts and history associated with the Sistine Chapel- maybe too knowledgeable! Tour was so long we had to cut out early to make it to our next tour across town. When we finally got to the chapel they hearses us into the middle like cattle and, of course, we had no guide. Getting out of the complex is the next challenge as signage was not always clear and it was on the opposite end from the chapel. There has to be a better way. Anyway, worth the cost just to see Michelangelo’s work (which should be better lighted)

Don’t do it!!

We showed up and waited over an hour in the heat for the VERY disorganized company to get the groups together and walk over to the venue. Then we stood around another 15 minutes waiting for them to give us the tickets so we could go in. We were in very limited time coming from a cruise ship and they wasted a lot of it. It was a skip the line ticket to save time. I could have waited in the line to get tickets and it wouldn’t have taken as long. And paid over $130 to do so! Total rip off!!

What a wonderful experience! You will have a little wait with your group as expected, but you definitely skip the regular line which wraps aroud the building, so getting this is a must! Our tour guide, Fabrizio, was amazing! He was an archeology major in college so he knew thr history and "story" behind the artwork and within the museums! He taught me things that I never learned in school...what a free treat! I would definitely do this again if ever in Rome! This tour company was located in Via Tunisi 5 which is across thr street from the entrance of the Vatican Museum! We took a cab from the Civitavecchia train station because we were running late and we got there in 10 minutes! It was worth it to decrease anxieties! Again a must do to skip the line!

Unless you like being ushered about like a herd of coos, give it a miss. Was absolute cooking, far too many folk in the corridors/rooms. Had enough about an hour in, but there was no way to exit until the end.

Sustine Chapel skip the line

Was very difficult to find the meeting location. Fortunately, we were very early. All we wanted to see was the Sistine Chapel, but you had to walk through 85% of the museum to get there (not Viator's fault). Was incredibly crowded, and guards were rude. No pictures allowed inside the Sistine Chapel only. But, it is a definite must see. Just don't go during the summer months, and leave the little kids at home--they won appreciate the lines and crowds.
