      Alcatraz and Bay Cruise Experience

      Both Alcatraz and the Bay Cruise were great experiences. My only complaint is that I was unsure how to access the tickets at the site. I finally asked one of the very busy workers at the Alcatraz holding site, who told me I had to exchange my ticket from Viator for one of their own tickets. It would have been less stressful to know I had to go to the ticket booth before I stood in line for the boat. I would suggest you include that information in your instructions next time for both Alcatraz and the Blue and White Bay Cruise.

      Upon arrival at Alcatraz, we were given a headset with guided tour narrative in the language of your choice. This was very helpful in allowing everyone to move through the tour at your own pace. As I have difficulty in walking uphill, and it is a long steep climb through a number of switchbacks to get to the top, I was very grateful for the tram available. Having booked our tickets ahead of time through Viator proved to be very helpful as when we arrived at the pier, they were already sold out for the day. When we went to redeem our voucher for the bay cruise, the staff were very helpful in figuring out exactly how to locate the tickets on my phone. I will definitely use Viator again!!

      This was a great guided tour (with header provided) and the cruise over & back was awesome too!! All the employees on the boat and inside Alcatraz were very knowledgeable and nice! And we felt very safe onboard the boat taking us over & back despite the horrific winds on the bay that day!! Fun day!!!

      Helpful employees at all stages. Easy trip over on boat 30 minutes before our scheduled tour. Audio your with pause means you can go round at your own pace. The bay cruise was a bonus extra to the tour and gave fantastic views on Alcatraz, the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Bonus was seeing dolphins near the bridge

      We had a great time on the Alcatraz tour. We especially enjoyed the audio tour of the cellblock. It was a great experience for us and our children.

      Really fun little trip - I took my niece and nephew with me and they said it was their favourite part of visiting San Fransisco. Really nice views of the skyline as well. Perhaps it would've been nice to stay a little longer (like even 30 minutes) to take in all the stops, but we really enjoyed it overall

      Overpriced. Half the price if you buy direct from piers 39 and 33. Alcatraz entrance is $43 and the boat ride $37

      Alcatraz island is a must in San Francisco ! I wouldn’t enjoy without it Also the cruise was beautiful. I would recommend the cruise before the Alcatraz because it gives an overview for remarkable places . I would recommend booking a night before to receive your QR codes. I was in a very short trip to SF and found out there’s a trip at the same day 10 a.m & 1 p.m so i booked @1 p.m You don’t receive your pass immediately like other apps , but the organizer was helpful when i called twice . This was the only con i. This experience because it stressed me out to wait as its my first time to book through here. Other than this … the overall experience is smooth .

      The most memorable part of my trip to Alcatraz was actually meeting the guest author Jolene babiak and just all the detail that was in the cell tour with the watercolors and the the audio tour part of it explaining everything it was really nice

      Very disorganized once you get there to check in, alot of money for what you get, didn’t even get to go on the Bay Cruise we paid for $850 for 4 people .
