      Not entirely the fault of Viator - a storm came through the day before our scheduled tour. We got a call that night that only Alcatraz was available the next day due to the storm so we show up the next day to find out that Alcatraz was closed as well. The tour guide promised to refund our entire tour $$ but 2 days later there has been no refund issued.

      Dear Wayne, I am very sorry about your feelings. Unfortunately San Francisco was hit with a storm, Muir Woods was closed and we knew the day before as the park decide it is not safe as soon as we knew we told you for all the possible options. Alcatraz was still opened at that time but next morning Alcatraz decide to cancel the operation when you get there because it was unsafe to navigate to the Island. A storm is out of our control unfortunately. You have been refunded but as I told you it takes 3-4 business days and you it's a weekend. Thank you

      Better than expected even though the weather was rough rain and wind the tour was interesting and informative I also found out a guy from my old NYC neighborhood was a infamous inmate there! Audio tour made all the difference.

      The road to Muir Woods was a beautiful drive. Muir Woods has amazing redwoods, stream and lots of wild flowers. Saved the best, Golden Gate Bridge for last and with the best lighting for photos.

      Time time shortened

      I really was expecting what was advertised. The tour site clearly states that the tour is approximately 7-8 hours and my experience on 03-19-2023 was of 4-5 hours of time with the guide. Robert was a good guide but I feel that he rushed the experience and gave the tourist 1 hour at Muir Woods and 1 hour in Sausalito. Then he dropped the group off at Pier 33 around 1pm and said that was our last destination to Alcatraz and we were on our own to return to the pick up spot. The tour is very misleading and it’s doesn’t tell you that the driver chooses how long to stay in each place. Not worth the money. Pick up time was at 8:30am and drop off at 1pm. That’s exactly 4 and 1/2 hours. At least 2 and 1/2 short of the earliest approximate tour estimate. I wish I was given an extra hour at Muir Woods and Sausalito and that would’ve been closer to 7hr tour.

      Hello Jose, I am sorry you didn't enjoyed your tour. You probably misunderstood or didn't read properly what is advertised. You stayed 1 hour and 15min at Muir Woods and 1 hour in Sausalito exactly how it is advertised. Sometime we stay more when we can. As you said from 8:30am to 1pm it is 4 hours and 1/2. Then You started Alcatraz at 1pm and on average people stay between 2 to 3 hours, sometimes more sometimes less. Ferry back are every 30min. How long did you stay? This is how it comes to 7-8 hours. This is a tour with other people and with a specific itinerary. It seems that you would like to have a different itinerary, I would suggest a private tour and you could decide on the timing.       Weather was terrible high winds rain and fog, however the guide gave a very informative tour. Unfortunately could not visit Muir Forest as it was closed for safety reasons with the wind.

      Hello Arjay, It was great speaking with you over the phone. As we talked We arrived at the Muir woods around 205pm and return time was given to us at 315pm including the food, restroom, etc While hiking through the Muir Woods trails my GF fell down and she was on her monthly period, luckily there was no major accident or any injury was involved except she cried. So we were late upon returning to the Van about 20 minutes. And due to the weather condition and rain It was slippery and muddy in the Muir woods plus the puddle while hiking the trails so we couldn't run with the incident as given time was very less. Upon calling and messaging the operator Faicol was very rude. We took the public bus to the Larkspur area and from there we took the Uber back to the SF area. It was 337pm when I reached out to him from the Muir woods visitor area. He hung up the call multiple times and did not communicate well with the incident. As of today I still haven't heard from Operator to ship our personal items or to collect from their office or any location. My GF also talked to him over the phone regarding her sweater/jacket from the Larkspur area. He acted very mean and arrogant over the phone. We were on a vacation trip and with Faicol's misbehavior towards women I was totally disappointed with his behavior and the tour that ruined our day. I clearly messaged him that he needs to behave and speak better with women and not disrespect. Driver was very good and communicative but the driver told us to reach out to the operator with the incident and situation. We paid money and took uber back to San Francisco from the LArkspur area. We were very upset that we lost our personal belongings and the operator didn't reach out back. I clearly mentioned to him that as a customer I will write the reviews on our experience we had with this type of behavior to customers Thanks,

      I am very sorry for your frustration rohit vinda. In many years of work we never had this situation. You were late every single time during the trip from the beginning without any consideration for the other people on the tour. At Muir Woods it is super easy and flat to walk but of course anything could happened. But When you talked to me you never said about anybody falling and other things you are mentioning during your long review. Some people would say that you have a lot of imagination. You mentioned I hung up multiple times how could we have this interesting discussion? When you called me telling me that you can't see the van you mentioned that you were 37min late now you say 20min. Even 20min nobody is waiting 20min when you have other people on the tour. Muir Woods is easy to come back when you miss your van for any reason, that's what I was explaining on the phone, also we told you were to pick up that day or next day your belongings but you didn't come. I am glad you had another bus to take you, you could take a taxi or Uber. Next time you miss your flight because you are 20min late call the company and ask them to come back to pick you up. If they think it is also funny, write the same review with the same imagination. Stay funny

      While the weather went from foggy to drizzle to steady rain in Muir Woods, it was well worth the trip. We went to see the seals which was a short walk from our pickup point in the downtime between Alcatraz and being picked up for the rest of the tour. It was a steady rain while in Muir Woods but we were dressed for the rain and so it just added to the trip. We did not take photos in Sausalito because the weather and time were against us. The tour guide Dustin was great. He took his time and pointed out different facts as we traveled along. He was aware of the weather conditions and made sure the van was warm when we got out of the cold rainy woods. He also pointed out different places to eat in Sausalito. We went to one of his recommendations Copita and it was well worth the stop. This was a late afternoon lunch and Copita had a menu that had exactly what we were looking for at that time of day.

      Dustin was a flexible tour guide. our weather was rainy and not ideal for Muir Woods, and he was open to adjusting times accordingly. He also dropped us near our respective hotels in Union square instead of the pier, which we VERY much appreciated.

      Our guide didn’t show up at the meeting point. When I called he said trip advisor never notified him. Not cool. Especially when you are in an unfamiliar city with your kids. We chose this cause it seemed safe. He apologized and offered a discount for the next day but at that point I didn’t trust him.

      Prison, Golden Gate and spectacular Woodland

      Great trip out to Alcatraz and a self guided / free audio tour around the island and prison.(you decide how long to stay, but need to be back by 1300hrs for the remainder of the tour). Muir Woods are beautiful and spectacular. Saucalito was a disappointment - just a small bayside town with a few coffee shops etc and nothing impressive. Time there would be fairly short for a restaurant visit and the addition feels like an afterthought (most companies include it though). I would have preferred to visit Marin Headlands or another spectacular place in the area.

      It was okay but VERY overpriced. You are still required to pay $15 at Muir Woods. At Alcatraz - it’s a self guided tour and I had to kill 2 hours until the van came to start the reminder of the tour. You’re better off paying Alcatraz on your own and getting on the city tour buses for the same value/sights.
