It was just enough time, but if you want to do some hiking to the 4th bridge the beach you'll need more time, The driver was extremely rude!

That won’t be enough if you are a dedicated biker but it’s a good way of checking it out on a first visit.

Muir Woods is a special place to visit and Sausalito is always a nice stop.

Good guide, good views

Michael communicated the right, pick up spot prior to pick me up at the hotel for this tour. During the ride, he provided commentary on the history of San Francisco, as well as the history of some of the famous landmarks, but I didn’t like, however, was the personal anecdotes that took away from the historical aspects. While the weather was kind of cloudy, it was still an enjoyable experience. The woods are definitely worth it, as well as the views.

Once in this van was enough.

The small van was cramped and crowded upon its arrival. For my husband and I to sit together, we had to crawl to the very back and sit on a row with 4 smaller (obviously for kids) seats. As I am 6'3" I had to sit in the middle of the center 2 seats so I could extend my knees into the aisle. I have no complaint about the driver though he was difficult to hear in the back. Of course, Muir Woods was beautiful, but we decided to travel back via the Sausalito ferry to save our backs.

Enjoyed the tour, the guide was informative. As far as the company is concerned we were not aware we would be taken and dropped at an attraction that required separate fees to enter. That should be clearly stated at the sign up stage. We were told at ticket booth Muir Woods that that happens often with some tour companies. Furthermore the driver said they didn't pay for parking at the closest, more expensive lot and went where they are instructed to drop customers. We were fine with that, but a handicapped couple was in our group. Just awful to make those folks navigate dirt paths to the entrance. Shame on Taste of Sanfrancisco for being so cheap and irresponsible with disabled folks.

Muir Woods and Salsulito Excursion

The sights,sounds and smells are completely immersive at Muir Woods. The level boardwalk goes a good ways in for those who need stable footing and want to experience this extraordinary place. Well maintained trails continue on beyond the boardwalk. Mike was an excellent guide, and provided good i for.ation about Salsulito and the surrounding area.

The best decision we made on our five day trip to SF. Comfortable, the company was so easy to communicate and work with, and we beat the crowds to Muir Woods. We elected to stay in Sausalito and take the ferry back to SF, but it’s hard to beat hotel drop off service.

Guide was knowledgeable and cordial , we had time to enjoy the scenery 😀 and given the opportunity to explore on our own . The price of the entry ticket was not included with the tour though ...and original driver did not show so they had to find a replacement and we were picked up an hour late from the hotel. However overall experience was very good.

It was great that I could be picked up directly at my hotel and that the group was so small, but I found that the information the driver was giving was not pertinent or interesting (and I'm a history buff) I would have preferred to sit in uncomfortable/awkward silence than listen to him wax on about oligarchies, Russia, the homeless population and how bad the area that my hotel was in and how I should not have stayed there... I thought the admission of the park was included (my bad for not double checking that). I didn't want to stay in Sausolito for so long so luckily the other people on my tour decided to take the ferry back (They probably didn't want to listen to the drivers monologue either) so I just asked the driver to take me back to my hotel. He tried to show me things in Sausolito that I wasn't interested in at all, and It felt very weird to be alone in the van with him. I couldn't get back to my hotel soon enough. I liked the convenience of having a drive to the park but if it was summer I probably would have just taken transit. The park itself was beautiful and worth the hassle of getting there to experience the serene majesty of the trees.
