We pick up at most central San Francisco hotels and hostels between 8:00am and 9:00am, pick up times vary based on location.

What To Expect

Your tour begins with pickup at your San Francisco hotel. Accompanied by your guide, head out of the city and across the Golden Gate Bridge, with views of Alcatraz and the city skyline on the right and the outstretched Pacific Ocean to the left. Admire the hills of the Marin Headlands as you approach Muir Woods, and feel the scenery begin to change from urban metropolis to old-growth forest.

As you explore the tree-lined trails, take in the scents and sounds of this incredible living museum. Crane your neck to spot the tops of these ancient redwoods that run up to 250 feet (76 m).

Around noon, hop back into your coach and travel to wine country for an afternoon of tastings. For lunch, pop into a winery or over to the historic town square of Sonoma. The square offers delicious samples at Sonoma Jack’s Cheese Factory to pair with any bottles you’ve purchased, as well as boutique shops and the Mission San Francisco de Solano.

Enjoy stops at Napa and Sonoma wineries to sample a variety of top-notch reds, whites and dessert wine.

Take in one last beautiful view of San Francisco from the Marin Headlands on your way back. Your tour concludes with drop-off back at your hotel.

We loved having Mitch as our guide for the day. So knowledgable about pretty much everything; tour-related and otherwise. This was a great trip. Sitting looking out onto the sunset over the rolling hills of Napa sipping delicious Californian wine. Who can put a price on that? The highlight was the great company on the day!

Awesome trip. The Muir woods were beautiful, and the second winery Ru Vango was a wonderful experience. Roche Winery was pretty, but the wine tasting experience was very average. Big shout out to our tour guide Eileen, she was wonderful

We had a great time on our tour. We went to the Muir woods, Sonoma and Napa wine tasting. Each tour was unique and the vineyards were beautiful. Our tour guide, Eileen was amazing. She picked us up at the hotel, and dropped us back there, very convenient. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the area went over and above to make sure we had a good time. I highly recommend this tour!

Over-all it was really fun and informative. Eileen, our driver was a lot of fun and personable. I told her that after visiting 2 vineyard that I'd sleep on the way home. She laughed and said that she can guarantee that I'll be laughing and singing - she was right! I was a bit disappointed with the pick-up (nothing to do with Eileen). Our hotel was in Mill Valley and we were told that we can only be picked up at a San Francisco hotel, yet, we drove past our hotel and could have easily been picked up there.

The entire trip was absolutely wonderful!! Muir Woods was a fantastic! The beauty and tranquility of the area were amazing. The Mission at Sonoma provided a great experience in history and time for a relaxing lunch. Finally, the time at the vineyards was fun and provided just enough time to learn more about the specific vineyards we visited, a bit more about the wine making process, and, of course, time to sample various wines. Our guide for the day was awesome and definitely did a great job in making this a wonderful trip!

Not what we expected

The tour had 13 people on a small van. Rather crowded with no empty seats. Not comfortable for people over 6 feet tall. We also had seven stops in the city before the tour even began and we were the second stop. We were therefore on the van for over an hour before we even left the city. Our tour guide, although, very nice, gave no commentary in the city and very little information about Muir Woods or wine country: Due to the 90 minutes it took to pick up all of the guests we only had an hour and Muir Woods rather than 90 minutes. The wineries that were chosen only provided the advertised tasting. There was no tour of the winery itself or information about the wine production.

The tour was amazing! Everything was as expected. There were 11 of us. We had a stop at the GG bridge for a photo, then spent 1.5 hours at Muir woods. It is enough to enjoy and appreciate it. After that we went to Sonoma plaza and had 1.5 hours for lunch on our own. At both wineries we spent around 1 hour, I just wish we spent a bit more at the second one in Napa, because I liked it more. They are both beautiful though. Our guide Jay was amazing, well organized and gave us a lot of information along the way. Perfect day!

Very nice tour. Our guide was great, very friendly and funny. A good tour if you want to squeeze in a good amount of activities in a day which we did. The only upgrade I would suggest to this experience would be some cheese and crackers with the wine pairings.
