The crater at Paos Volcano was amazing. Max was an excellent tour guide . The coffee experience was cool but I adored the peace lodge and seeing the birds and butterflies. Such a fun day

The waterfalls were spectacular and the Poas Volcano was very interesting and accessible. I also enjoyed hearing about coffee culture from our guide, who has a family history of working around coffee. I was amazed that we saw so much in one day. I also greatly appreciate the leader's and driver's efforts to help my wife make the most of her tour, despite her limited ability to walk distances. The tour was easy to book, and communication regarding pickup times at our hotel was straightforward.

Excellent 1 day experience

As I was in San José for the weekend this was an excellent way to taste what Costa Rica nature has to offer. We were lucky to have amazing weather all day long ! Everything was professionally organised: coffee tour was interesting and in a pretty location (far from the very touristy Starbucks plantation), plenty of time to visit the volcano and the waterfall Park is beautiful (wasn't a fan of the zoo but the walk alongside the river was great). Quality food options for breakfast and lunch as well. My only caveat would be groups are a bit large meaning hotel pickups and drop-off are long and group chemistry doesn't pick up, also lacks a certain "Latin flavour" but I feel this is common in tourist Costa Rica.

Donald, our tour guide, had an incredible command of both English and Spanish languages. He went back and forth between both with amazing proficiency. He was very knowledgable about the coffee plantation, Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfalls Park. The meals were filling and delicious at both locations. The views were spectacular at Poas and La Paz. It was fun to stop off at a shop between locations and try some local strawberries and other snacks.

We did the whole day tour and it was wonderful! Learning about coffee was informative and fun. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. The Poas hike was lovely, although it was foggy so we couldn’t see the basin or lagoon. The waterfall gardens were lush and beautiful and included lots of animal sightings and another scenic hike. The only thing that disappointed me was lunch at La Paz.

More time in the bus than seeing sites.

I knew this was going to be a long day … 13 hours. The disappointing part was you had: 7 hours of riding in a bus 4 1/2 hours total to see the three sites 1 1/2 hours for breakfast and lunch The coffee tour was informative The volcano was amazing Waterfall gardens - the waterfalls were pretty but the viewing of the “wildlife” was nothing more than a zoo. I understand it was a rescue facility. For us, we would not have done this trip if we had know you spent the amount of time we did in the bus. We probably would have just don’t the volcano on our own. I wish the reviews would have been more upfront on the actual timeline which is why I have included it here. Our guide Gary was informative but after the last tour he locked himself upfront with the driver and never checked bCk with us. We had to bang on the door to get some airflow into the bus.

The coffee tour was surprisingly very interesting and informative. The volcano completely dependent on weather and although it was very cloudy we got lucky the weather broke while atop the volcano allowing beautiful views of the crater. I was disappointed with La Paz as some animals appeared to be in stress especially the large cats.

Our guide Donald was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. The driver was Calli was good and the whole organization (pick up/drop off) was good. The coffee tour was very informative, the volcano was cloud covered but still great and the gardens were amazing. Food was very good. The tour is really worth the money!

Anyone booking this tour would be fortunate to get our guide and driver, Adrian and Jose. They kept the trip informative, always with time to answer any and all questions. The coffee plantation tour was great. Unfortunately the volcano’s crater was fogged in, (nature is not always on your side). The waterfall and the gardens were breathtaking. There is an opportunity to do a considerable amount of hiking if you are inclined, however; Adrian always made us aware ahead of the more difficult areas and left it to oneself whether or not to try or to take an easier route. Definitely a great way to spend a day of vacation.

Our tour guide, Martin Mora, was absolutely fantastic. He was so animated, considerate, intuitive, very funny and knowledgeable, and took great care of making arrangements due to a health/mobility concern. We enjoyed all 3 of the special local attractions, but Martin definitely was the highlight of the experience - the best that we have ever experienced.

Good day trip. Informative and well presented. A couple negatives. Due to full group we spent ages picking up from different hotels and waiting around for people. This went on throughout the day. Waiting around between each activity. But all three places were excellent. Just a smaller group would have been better.

What a great day we had! Everything ran smoothly. Meals were outstanding. The coffee tour was so fascinating and the volcano was amazing (pictures will never do it justice). I would recommend wearing really great walking or hiking shoes because the La Paz Waterfall Gardens walks were serious! Lots of steps down (and back up) my fitbit said I climbed 54 floors - so not for those who can't handle that - but every part of the day was perfect!
