Loved our trip to the top of Irazu and Cartago. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable took plenty of photos of us. R We thought this was a great mix of things to see and do and Orosi was beautiful shame we didn't spend a little more time there. For me the trip could've started a little later as the lunch stop which was amazing food was at 11am.

We were fortunate to experience the Irazu Volcano during a period of cloudless sky. Our first time to be present on a volcano. We benefited from the knowledge of our friendly and experienced guide Jean (Jon). He educated us on the area, the volcano's history and took us through some of the surrounding vegetation to experience the temperature change. At the observatory we enjoyed a beautiful panoramic view of the area. The tour continued with the peaceful and secluded Orosi Valley outside Cartago, The Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels in Cartago, and the Santigo Apostol Ruins also in Cartago. Our guide provided a comfortable and efficient drive to the four sites. Jon was a first class guide and we both enjoyed his company throughout the day.
