Lonnnnngg drive from San Jose but worth it if you're a nature buff. Seeing and feeding the monkeys was great. The hike with swinging bridges was okay, however, plancaccordingly (rain and cold weather gear). Saw no wildlife. Tour guide and driver from San Jose were great. Overall, a really good experience and day away from hotel.

Tour guides make the difference of a memorable day vs. a mediocre day!

ROY, our guide on the suspended bridges hiking trail, made the trip nice for us as well as the Monkey Lady's house. Our guide was just ok - spent most of his time talking on his phone - never offered to pull over and view the valley on such a clear day. The road to the restaurant was horrible and the lunch was average. There appeared to be gaps in the itinerary filled with "fluff". Not good value. As a result, we have booked 2 more full-day tours with another company.

This very full day gave us lots of time to visit Monteverde Sky Forest using the Sky Tram for an amazing view of the massive forest as well as both the Pacific Ocean and Arenal Volcano, followed by a 2 hour guided tour through the 5 hanging bridges connecting the forest offering amazing vegetation and wildlife. However, before that we had time to visit a monkey farm for up close time, a coffee plantation plus a coffee break and a major Costa Rican traditional lunch. A packed day that thanks to our guide Harlem never seems rushed or stressful. I would highly recommend this tour.

This tour was the highlight of my trip! The cloud forest was gorgeous & magical, & it looked like something straight out of a fairytale! The other travelers were great to be with, & Jeffery was an excellent guide who was nice, friendly, & informative & wanted all of us to have a wonderful time. Christian was an excellent driver & was helpful & very nice.

An absolutely great tour that I would recommend for anyone visiting Costarica. Alex (our driver and guide) was really friendly and made sure that we had a good time. During the tour we visited some really authentic places e.g. where we went for lunch. The sky tram and the guided hike in the forest were really awesome 👌

No Animals to See

Very disappointing because I didn't see any animals. One monkey, two spiders and ants. Not even birds! The tour guide was excellent, but I'm just underwhelmed.

Everything is well organized, on time pick-up, drop-off, very good driver & great convetsation with Juan Migual , delicious lunch, wonderfull time in sky adventure, (please use the guided walking tour, its not just look and walk tour, learn lot of things about cloud forests, biodiversity, plants etc, pura vida). Although It takes 4hrs to go & 4 hrs back within traffic (san jose to monteverde), it is worth to visit monteverde. Thanks a lot.

Great trip. Oscar is very knowledgeable about the country and was an excellent guide, offering great communication about the excursion, interesting facts about CR, and nice side trips to see monkeys, a coffee plantation, and a fruit stand which offered free samples. His English is perfect. He went out of his way to contact another vendor we hired for the following day who never responded to pick up questions we sent, and stopped at a wonderful place for lunch. Be prepared for a long day. The sky tram ride was short, but cute. The hanging bridge walk was great and Andre our guide on it was very informative.

If you have time to go we highly recommend this tour, even if you have a fear of heights. We did the sky tram and bridges. Our guide Fernando Moss, taught us about the many fruits we tried along the way. The tour was very long from San Jose but it was well worth it!

We had a wonderful time, I HIGHLY recommend this tour! Our guide Yordan was very knowledgeable and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does which made our day super pleasant. The stops on the way to Monteverde were perfect, we got to stop at a a huge place full of local fruits, and we even got to try some of them, I love fruit! But the stop at the monkey-lady house was the best! It was super funny to see all those monkeys playing around and I'll tell you... They are WILD! Yordan also made a couple stops for us to take pictures of the gorgeous mountains and the ocean. Our guide at the hanging bridges was very knowledgeable too, we learned tons on our hike and the views from the bridges were awesome <3. The tram ride was a awesome, we got our best pictures at the look-out place at the top of the tram ride. Oh and the food was great too! Overall, this Monteverde tour was an amazing experience!

It's a good tour just a long drive the drive is longer then the tours I suggest staying in the hotels near those tours.

First of all, Costa Rica Tours is a great company - prompt and responsive. But the tour itself was a little disappointing.
