Rob was our guide and made the experience!! Very knowledgeable about the river, plants and animals. One of the best tours. Everyone was professional and as a whole so easy. If you want to go on an adventure this is a MUST!!!!

The guide was super experienced and funny. The trip was such a nice adventure in many different ways. The nature was beautiful and the animals were fascinating to watch. Of course the river rafting itself was very exciting and fun.

Our guide, David, did such a great job taking us down the class 4 rapids! He knew exactly how to navigate the river and gave us some history about the area along the way. This is the best river to raft, although the traffic from road construction is aggravating, getting back to San Jose.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my son (who is an adult) whilst we was in Costa Rica. He told me he had a really good time and that the ages of participants varied from the young to old. He told me that he would definitely recommend this experience to other people.

We booked this Tour because the Pacuare River is among the top rivers in the world to do rafting. When the guide picked us up in the morning, he told us that he is not sure if we will be able to do the rafting on that river. At 10 finally came the announcement that it was impossible to raft the river, so they brought us to another river which was in terms of rafting not exciting at all. What made me mad was that our guide during rafting told us that it has been like that for already 2 days, so they could have told us that when booking the ticket we booked one day before and finally what made me the most made was that they told us at the end that the day after it would be possible to ride the pacuare river... The communication was really bad from the service provider, in the morning it was too late for us to book another tour, knowing that we were only in costa rica for 5 days, so we had no option. They should have informed us the day before and we would have changed the rafting trip for two days later when it was possible to ride the pacuare river Finally after discussing the owner called us excused himself and refunded us the difference 15 dollars times 2 and promised us that we will get the pictures taken during the rafting for free. We never got the pictures... This tour operator is not to recommand. They were not transparent with us. We booked a tour and in the morning they only told us that we cannot do the tour and that they will give us another tour. We would like to decide about our tours and not the tour operator. Finally he promised to give us the pictures and we didn't get them... Take another tour operator!!!

The raft trip was fabulous! We had an excellent guide to steer and direct us through thrilling rapids and glorious scenery. My one complaint is that we booked this trip without a travel agent. Because the shuttle pickup time at our hotel was so early, 5:50 am, and I knew nothing about San Jose areas, I asked twice about the location of our hotel, and for help relocating nearer to our destination. These requests were ignored. The trip home was at least a full hour long after we dropped off the other riders. Traffic was horrible! This ruined what was otherwise a great day.

Fantastic tour! The rafting was so much fun even as an anxious beginner. One thing to note is they request gratuity for the rafting guide and the bus driver. Make sure to have enough money for both. We didn’t know this and felt bad that we couldn’t tip the driver.

This was a great all round adventure, but NOT for those without significant experience white water rafting class 3 anf 4 rapids. The guide was fantastic, fun, friendly, and fully informed us regarding expectations. Only drawback was couple who only been white water rafting once before, class 1 and 2 rapids for a few hours. They did not keep pace with paddler ahead nor understand need to dig deep overside to help propel the boat. They were almost just along for the ride. Although I've had more white water rafting experience than most first trip was 10 days rafting on Colo thru Grand Canyon, this was the most exhilarating experience ever, lots of rapids kept you energized and wet for at least 4 hours. Lunch was good too.

What an amazing day we had white water rafting down the Pacuare River. I booked this before we arrived to Costa Rica on Viator site. Great experience that I had. Everything was very organized. I received contact information before we arrived confirming our trip and time of hotel pick up. We were picked up on time and the day was amazing. Our guide Roberto was awesome. Included breakfast and lunch half way down the river. Our entire family just loved this excursion. Highly highly recommended.

Los instructores tienen la experiencia para generar un ambiente de equipo pues es necesario para esta actividad. Un must es usar una playera con protección solar pues son 4 horas expuesto al sol y mucho bloqueador facial. Una gopro es lo mejor para esta experiencia pues vale la pena revivir el momento de adrenalina!! Llevar un cambio es indispensable para evitar estar incomodo en el camino de regreso. También llevar zapatos de agua es importante para un mejor agarre en la balsa. Y finalmente gozar del paisaje!! Es increíble observar los animales en su hábitat natural.
