An experience not to miss!
ChristyJ_B, Mar 2023
The tour of the national park was a wonderful experience. We were so excited to see unusual animals, like a tapir and coati, besides sloth and many different birds. Because this is natural, not a zoo, we felt very fortunate. The tram ride thru the canopy was lovely. We got to see different levels of the eco system. The zipline was fast and exciting, including one of the longest lines in the country! My only criticism was the that the drive host and driver only engaged occasionally with our small group. Neither described scenery or location info. The driver made me feel uneasy during the extremely foggy and wet weather conditions on the way home.

Dear ChristyJ_B, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent Braulio Carrillo National Park 6-in-1 Pass with Optional Transfer from San Jose tour on Viator. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your tour of the national park and were able to see some unique animals such as a tapir and coati. It is always great to receive positive feedback about the natural experiences we offer our customers. We are sorry to hear that the drive host and driver did not engage with your small group as often as you would have liked and did not provide enough information about the scenery and location. We will pass on your comments to our team to ensure that this does not happen again in the future. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to see you on another one of our tours soon. Best regards,
Fun Place for Zip Lining Near San Jose
Cathy_A, Feb 2023
We had a great time in Braulio Carrillo Nat Pk Zip Lining. Only about 1 hour's drive from San Jose, it was nice to have a driver on a foggy, rainy morning who knew the roads. It was our first-time zip lining. Our guide was very good at explaining what to do and helped us with our harnesses. He made it fun. Your belongings go into a locker: backpack, wallet, camera, etc. You pay $3 for the rental of a little lock and key. Some people hung their phones around their necks and tucked them inside their shirts, (but if it poured rain, that could be a problem.) We are nearly 70 years old and had no problem zip lining. We saw leaf cutter ants carrying leaves along one path. (I wished I had my camera then). We loved the nature walk and saw a group of 10 white nosed coti that crossed the path in front of us which was a great experience. The buffet was open-air, like all the buffet places, with a hand washing stand outside the bathroom. It was easy to keep germs at bay. The food was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would go back again!
Find your own transportation.

Excellent experience. The only problem was that transportation. The way to the park was just over 1.5 hits and the way park to the hotel was about 2. The drops in San Jose to pick up the other passengers were really pretty miserable. Would have probably tried to find my own transport if I knew that was going to be the case.
The BEST Day!
Haley_H, Jan 2023
We had the absolute best time on this tour, it was everything we hoped for and more! We started with the pick-up right from our hotel, and travelled to the National park. Our morning was ziplining, truly no words for our how amazing and fun this was! We then had a very tasty lunch included. The gondola ride was after lunch and was so peaceful riding through the rainforest. We saw some birds and stunning scenery while our guide taught us facts about the area. After that we went on a 45min walk through part of the forest to see some of the exhibits. Highly recommend this tour! All of our guides were super professional and friendly. An unforgettable day!
Recommended for a relaxing day with zip lining fun.

It was the 1st time I experienced zip lining. A great way to celebrate ones 72nd birthday. Lots of fun..nothing to be scared about. It's not to do if you have trouble walking up any steep inclines, have a bad back or heart condition. The quiet tram ride tour was relaxing and serene. The nature hike was also nice. I will say our tour guide was excellent with information and looked after us all day. Lunch was included and the food was very good. Nothing not to like. The only negative part was this. It is advertised as 6 in 1. Well, the zip line and Tram were 2. There were 2 nature hikes. One about 1- 1/2 hrs and one about 45 min. ..So that is #'s 3 and 4. On the path on the 45 min. walk there is a small area with about 12 glass terrariums with a few snakes and or frogs.. That's what they call #5. Further down the path we stopped into a small cage like atrium with some butterflys. That's what they call #6. Overall..its a nice and relaxing way to spend a day. Note: Nov. To Feb. is the dry season. Had we gone during the rainy period it would not have been miserable and not a fun time for us..Yeah, I know..it's a rain forest..but spending hours treking through or zip lining in the rain forest is not that appealing..plus an hour or so driving both ways. We did give a $10.00 donation to look at 4 rescued sloths. They took about 30 pictures of us gearing up and zip lining that they email to you for $40.00. We declined. They also take a picture of you on the tram upon your return. A 5x7 is $10.00. The gift shop..needless to say, is very expensive. Nothing you couln't find at the duty free A/P shops or elsewhere for less.

Pick up good and it’s a bit of a drive out to the National Park. Safety is priority on the zip lines. It’s a nice get away out of the city. Beautiful scenery and facility. Recommend
It was lit
Victoria_V, Aug 2022
The only thing I regret is not getting the go pro. Staff was awesome, the experience was better. Zip lining was definitely the highlight, followed by the food. I got the “meal of the day” and it was delicious. My wife got the gallopinto, and loved it. The tram was beautiful, we saw a pelican, an orange snake, some mystery birds and lots of butterflies (including a clear one and one that lit up). Staff was definitely amazing

Great experience!

The guides were amazing! Even though mudslides closed some roads and there were delays the guides took time to get us safely there and back rather than canceling. The activities were awesome!

Hello Sara! Thank you very much for visiting our Braulio Carrillo, Costa Rica park! Glad to know that the natural conditions did not stop you from having fun and a great experience. Regards,

Jacquelyn_J, May 2021
We enjoyed our visit at the park; the ziplining, aerial tram, butterfly exhibit and food were great. The zip lining satisfied my partner's need for adventure and the aerial tram allowed us some one-on-one time to talk and relax up in the clouds. I spent time at the cafeteria while he ziplined and was able to enjoy food and drinks. Diego, the manager was amazing and very helpful. Overall, it was a great experience.
Response from Host, July 2021

The host was incredibly wonderful and knowledgeable about the history of Costa Rica 🇨🇷 and the rainforest is beautiful. Zipline was really really nice, and adventurous. Thanks for a great day and time!

At first we were a little apprehensive about doing ziplines. We had done them before and weren't too excited, but oh man am I glad that we did it. The longest one at 700 meters was absolutely amazing. There's no better way to see the jungle than being right up in the trees. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the ecosystem; he grew up not too far from there and had been with the park for 10 years. If we would have done the tram ride without him, we would have missed so much. This tour isn't far away from San Jose, about an hour ride, well worth the time. I would recommend it to any of my friends and family.
Great Adventure!
Sandra_D, Mar 2020

We were able to see and experience many wonderful animals, flora, and history of the Rain Forest it's a place you must visit! Thank you so much a most fantastical day! Pura Adrenalina in Canopy expierience..
Great experience!!!
Adriana_A, Feb 2020
I never leave reviews. I believe people will have their own experiences regardless. I must say, this excursion was a blast. We opted for hotel pickup (though we had a rental) which is a grand choice if traveling from afar (San Jose). The employees and tour guides were very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. It rained a bit while we were on the tram, so I’d highly recommend bringing a poncho just in case.
This is a must do for all travelers to this area

6 in 1 tour
Nadeem_J, Oct 2019
Good trip. The zip lining was very fun and the snake and frog enclosure was also very good. We saw a toucan flying over which was cool. On the cart which goes over the rain forest canopy, it was difficult to see any animals however the views are good.
Worth the money! Recommended!
Zach_M, Oct 2019
We were in Costa Rica a short time with an 8 year old child so we wanted to experience as much as possible from San Jose. This package succeeded at that! Being the closest ziplane/jungle trip, it was great! The tour guide picked us up on time, spoke English well and answered lots of questions. Very informative along the trip there and during the tours. All the attractions of the package were great. The zip line team was very friendly and we always felt safe. While we took our own video and photos, there’s options for GoPros rentals, drone footage purchases, and professional photos purchases. We did the later. Everyone spoke English well and we had so much fun. Lockers are available for a tiny fee. Clean bathrooms, gift shop, and some great LONG zip lines with amazing views. Depending on your time of year dictates rainfall, what's in bloom, and animals you'll see. We saw a sloth, bullet ants, tapirs, but no hummingbirds. To top it off, I left my personal GoPro attached to my harness and realized it an hour after returning to our hotel. I coordinated with them and they returned before we left! Much appreciated. Thanks Rainforest Adventures! The only downsides, if any, was lunch was tasty but just ok. I know it’s not America, but the roads and driving was rough. We always felt safe but it was a windy and bumpy trip to and from. We fully recommend this!
Amazing

I loved this tour. It was well worth the month. I was picked up at my San Jose Hotel and driven about an hour to the rainforest. First, we did zip lining. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and I felt safe the entire time. It is a very beautiful area to be zip-lining through. I paid an extra fee to rent the helmet with a GoPro and was able to buy the videos afterwards. They also had a photographer taking photos which I was also able to purchase. After zip lining, there was a air tram that took us through the rainforest. This was a pleasant way to see the beauty of the rainforest. Then, we had a lunch of chicken, salad, rice, pasta and vegetables. Finally, the guide took me on a nature walk. My favorite part was the butterfly garden. Overall, this was a fantastic tour and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the Barulio Carrillo area in an efficient and exciting way.
I saw the reviews and believed it would...
szuyulin90, Sept 2018
I saw the reviews and believed it would be a great tour, but I did not like it at all. First, the package did not mention that there is a possible locker fee if you're doing the zipline. I have been on other zipline tours, and they never charge extra for locker fee. The locker fee is only 3, but I hate unexpected fee for services after paying so much for the tour and transportation. Second, the gear for the zipline smelled pretty bad. It smelled like others' sweat. I didn't want to put it on, but I had no choice. Third, the service at the lunch was okay. I waited for a long time to complete my request. I wasn't sure if he got it, but the server wasn't around. So, I can't check with him either. Fourth, the tram tour is an hour and twenty minutes long. It was so slow and exhausting to be on it. Lastly, the most important thing is that the tour guide does not speak English very well. Even though I could tell that he tried very hard to share facts of the wild animals, I felt bad that I could not understand his English due to his accent and some incorrect pronunciation. I appreciated that our guide worked very hard to make our tour great. I have so much more to share. The different gardens are not as clean as the other gardens I visited. If this tour is the first tour I have been on, I may have better experiences.
