Our guide Benjamin was amazing. I was one of four total solo travelers on this tour so it was nice to meet the other guests. The tour takes you to a variety of sites, topographies and climates. It makes for a long day but totally worth it to see so many interesting sites.
Highlights of El Salvador

Our guide, Carlos, and driver, Vitelly (sp?), were great. There was only one other couple on the tour with us so it was easy to talk and ask questions. We got to see Joya de Ceren first, then San Andres, then lake Coatepeque and finally Cerro Verde. When traffic was backed up getting back into San Salvador, we had time to chat with Carlos and he gave us many recommendations for other things to try before our trip ended.
We got a message via viator/email from the tour company ~24hrs before the tour finalizing our pickup time.

I ended up being the only person on this tour, and my driver was great. Eduardo was kind and picked me up right on time and shared a lot of great wisdom. We visited all the best spots and saw great views. I learned a lot in my first day in El Salvador and when I was really exhausted I felt safe sleeping in the car while he drove around.

The tour provider was unreachable when we contacted them a few days before to confirm our pick up point. We tried to call and they hung up on us, we contacted them through Viator and they finally got back to us the night before our tour and told us that the tour starts at 7:15 am instead of 8:30 am which was stated on our tickets. We agreed that they would pick us up from Casa de mar hotel in El Sunzal at 7:30 am.We had to rush to get our breakfast cause the breakfast at the hotel starts at 7 am. Then it took about 1.5 hrs to pick everyone up for the tour as some people were in San Salvador and some at to the beach side. The traffic is in San Salvador and on highways is terrible. It says that the tour is around 9 hrs but because of having to pick everyone up and then drop them off at their hotels we spent 13 hrs on this tour. We were the first ones to be picked up and the last ones to be dropped off even though there was an option to drop us off first after the tour but when we asked our guide Benjamin about that he said that "we will make other ppl mad" so they went to San Salvador to drop ppl off which took us an extra 2.5-3 hrs and we were the last ones to be dropped off. Nobody cared what we would think about spending so much time driving around. In total we spent only about 5 hrs outside the bus looking at. Volcanos and pyramids but the rest 8 hrs was spent on the bus in traffic getting from point a to point b and picking ppl up and dropping them off after. Overall I would not recommend this tour as we were super tired and unhappy. We concluded that it would have been easier to just get our hotel driver take us to the same places and it would have been not so much driving as what we had to do on that 13 hr tour and a lot cheaper. Also the price of the tour is way too much for what you get. The admission to the places we visited was only a few dollars. We had to pay for our lunch even though it was not expensive an they could have included it in the price of the tour. Clearly the tour provider needs to figure out the logistics of this tour better as the ppl that are on the beach side will have to suffer the most by spending an additional 4 hrs in comparison to everyone else.
