Greet your expert gastronomic guide in central San Sebastiàn to commence your culinary adventure. Stroll through the lively streets of Parte Vieja Old Town and weave your way between bustling bars and atmospheric pintxos joints.

Listen as your guide informs you of the origin of pintxos, describing the variations of the beautifully prepared, bite size morsels inspired by locally sourced Basque ingredients. We had a great time with Guillerrmo on our tour. We also had a pretty good group that got along and had fun together. As a pescatarian, I was happy to be accommodated with delicious seafood or veggie tastes. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants to be shown things they may not otherwise taste and a great way to learn you're way around Pintxo restaurants.

Choose the later slot because when I went a lot of things weren’t open yet. It was still great for me but not as lively until the end.

Veronica was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable about San Sebastian, Basque culture, and especially pintxos. She grew up in San Sebastian in a “gastronomic” family, speaks (and teaches history in) Basque, and I think knows every one of the 140 pintxo bars in the Old Town area. And, they all know her! In addition to being a guide, she goes out with a group of her own each week to sample and rate pintxos around town. Veronica customized our pintxo experience to the expressed tastes of our group of four (e.g., local sausage, seafood, Basque sauces, cheeses, and a special local cheesecake for dessert). Each of the five bars we went to included a different glass of regional wine. We all felt well wined and dined at the end of the tour.

Sandra brought us to some pretty cool bars, ordered food that I would not have thought to order, and made us feel welcomed.
