Great Scenery & Great Tour Guide
Harold_M, Mar 2023
The Views were amazing and the tour was very structured. I do wish we got to explore a little more, but no real complaints.
Great trip
Elizabeth_H, Jan 2023
The guides go out of their way to sure you see as much as possible. Fantastic trip. If you're between this and Olympic, I'd do this one over that one.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Thanks, Elizabeth!
Must go, but a little of hiking. Be aware !
Maverick_M, Oct 2022
Our Guide Ron was very good. He is detailed and meticulous about everything to ensure we are comfortable. He showed us a lot of his personal collection of photos to allow us to understand the place we are visiting. This not only able to deepen our knowledge but also to make complex subject simple and easy to understand. The hike itself to see the Carter Fall is about 2.5 to 3.0 hours. You need to be at least fit and agile in order to do this. Mt. Rainier is mystical. You see her and you don't see her the next moment. I am fortunate to be able to take some of the nice shots of her. It can be cold and windy at the river bank, please dress appropriately. When it snow, the path can be slippery, a hiking stick can come in handy.
BEST TOUR EVER!

RON!!!! He was the best! encouraging, knowledgable, kind and patient! Great stories, great personality!
Not to be missed.
SRIVIDHYA_V, Oct 2022
The entire journey right from the plan to execution was A class. Our tour manager - Lucinda was a pro. Very kind and caring . She kept us completely engaged and on time . I had a good time on the trails and creating nice memories. On the improvement side - i think you should have a pick up from Bellevue - given this is a tech hub and lot of tourists. Also some better restroom stops. some were too rudimentary. however tour manager made best attempts to keep us healthy. to sum it up - a great excursion with fantastic weather and commentary
Awesome Nature Time!
Shelley_K, Oct 2022
Spectacular day on the Mt. Rainier tour! Would have never been able to see so much as a first time visitor without the expert guidance from Ron, Northwest Tours.
Unbelievable!
Kelli_D, Oct 2022

Excellent fun and entertaining
Salvador_G, Oct 2022
Clean and comfortable ride. We stopped at a grocery store and picked up last minute snacks and lunches. There was a cooler for our food and drinks. The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Great Views of Nature!

Fantastic Day
Jeannie_D, Oct 2022
Mark is an energetic & knowledgeable guide. We were so fortunate to be with him. We hiked to huge trees & waterfall. Stopped at lake for reflective view of fantastic Mt Rainier. He gave plenty of time to walk around at Visitor Center/Lodge area. Traffic at center was heavy but Mark dropped us off & returned at precise time for us to leave. Must see this amazing mtn and old growth trees when in Seattle area and this day trip is perfect way to do so.
Great tour
Guadalupe_L, Sept 2022
Andreas our tour guíde/driver/ and historian was great. It showed that he is truly devoted to make sure that you get the best experience. Hate to add that the only bad part: the seats in the van were very uncomfortable and small and no place to put your cargo stuff. 😉
Spectacular views!
Alena_R, Sept 2022
Our guide Andreas made this tour unforgettable. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, well mannered and excellent person. He knows park very well and gave a lot of information to us. The mountains, waterfalls, sites and nature—picturesque and spectacular. Weather was gorgeous, 70s and sunny!
Rainier Excursion!!
Julia_L, Sept 2022
Thought the tour provided a very good introduction and overview of the National Park - its history, its geology, and the natural attractions. Our guide was exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the waterfalls and the time we spent at Paradise. Timing of stops for landmarks, food, and bathroom breaks was great.
Loved, love, loved it!
Rick_K, Sept 2022
This was money worth spent. We had a wonderful time and Mark our driver was great. The views and the hikes he took us too were beautiful. We would highly recommend this trip. Definitely a thing to know is wear comfortable clothing and shoes. You will do small hikes. The gift shop at the end was nice and the huckleberry ice cream was delicious.
Great tour!
Cheryl_K, Sept 2022
I loved this tour! Nice balance of sightseeing & hiking. Our tour guide, Andreas, was very knowledgeable about history of the park, &also the flora & fauna. His enthusiasm was contagious! Highly recommend this
Amazing Excursion!
Joshua_C, Sept 2022
Mt. Rainier is a must do for all who visit Seattle. Our tour guide was informative and showed us waterfalls, a suspension bridge and of course the trails with the beautiful views.
Good experience, we’re...
john_d, Sept 2022
Good experience, we’re not able to see the top of the mountain due to the clouds. Still was able to see waterfalls, rivers and trees. Also, able to go hiking and get out and the enjoy outdoors.
Bad customer service
Andrea_S, Sept 2022
My father fell on the way to the shuttle and we had to call 911. We were denied any portion of a refund because we had no “proof” he fell, though the tour guide saw the whole thing happen.
Response from Host, Sept 2022
Hi Andrea, Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback, but first, we hope that your dad is healing well from his fall. Please know that you were not denied a refund because you had no proof (this is not something we'd ask for because it's irrelevant - perhaps a Viator agent asked this?) - the refund was denied because we don't offer refunds for any reason in the 24-hours leading up to this sold-out tour. We do offer the option to go on another date with availability and that offer still stands. All the best, Tours Northwest
Great Day Tour
Carole_T, Sept 2022
The beautiful waterfalss, Mt. Ranier and our knowledgeable tour guide/driver Ken. The only change I would make is to inform people that they need to bring water or pick up water at the grocery store stop and bring a sun hat. The day we went it was 85 and up on the mountain top, which was highly inclined, it was hot and not much air. Otherwise, it was a great day trip.
Response from Host, Sept 2022
Thanks for your review, Carole, and for the suggestion regarding water. Typically our guides do let guests know to pick up any food and supplies (drinks included) that you may want for the day at the store - we're sorry that wasn't conveyed on your tour. Thanks for joining us though, and we're glad to hear that you still had a great day with us. Happy travels!
