Traveller Tips

I would recommend bringing an extra pair of socks or two as the mountains were snowy in May and my shoes weren't waterproof.

Fun day!
Elizabeth_H, Jan 2023
Fun tour. I was in the fence, but glad we did it. Great guide. Very knowledgeable and could answer most of my detailed questions.
Response from Host, Jan 2023
Thank you for the review, however our Olympic Tours do not start up again until April. I am glad you enjoyed your trip.
Beautiful park but Ok day trip
Padma_B, Oct 2022
Olympic National Park is beautiful, its beyond words to describe the beauty. You should definitely visit if you are in the area. But go with a different tour company. Couple of reasons, first, there are high chances that you will be left behind even if you get back on time after you were asked to explore the stop yourself, because rest of the group arrived before time (keep in mind there is no cell service in the park). Added, if you are slow hiker then you could fall behind without a trail map during group hikes. Second, the guide will spend lot of time at stops during the morning and will rush through the attractions in the afternoon. Its not timed well, and afternoon is when you will be at some of the most scenic places. My advise, make sure you have a trail map if you go on hike. And carry your belongings with you at all times and don't leave them in the vehicle. If the tour decides to leave you behind, it will not be that difficult to return to your hotel.
Response from Host, Oct 2022
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you felt your tour guide rushed the tour. It's good to know that even though you mentioned several times of being left behind you were not, nor anyone else with the group. If you would like to discuss your personal experience more please give our office a call as we would like to discuss further. Thank you.
Super day at Olympic
alison_b, Sept 2022
Best part of the day??….the county park with the tide pools, Crescent Lake, hiking Hurricane Ridge, having a cold one on the way back to Seattle! All we’re great. Joel is local and knows his stuff…what a wonderful tour guide. It was a super day thanks to him and his customizing our tour to fit the low tides and weather!! He hauled to get us back to Seattle for the ferry….and even provided us a super moon over Seattle for the ferry ride. Could not have been better!!
Response from Host, Sept 2022
Sounds like a great trip! Thank you for giving Joel a review and touring with us!
Day of Olympic
shirazi_s, Sept 2022
It was a great experience to hike n watch the view of mount Olympus. Crescent lake was worth watching …
Response from Host, Sept 2022
Thank you for your review.
Ok for a day trip
Khairul_A, Sept 2022
Most of the time had to be spent on the road because of the distance from Seattle - so the trip should have been two days with more sites included. The guide needed to rush through the tour. He should spend more time at near the mountains and less time at the lake.
Response from Host, Sept 2022
Unfortunately it's not something we can split into two days, so we do make the most out of the day. Thank you for your feedback, as we do not usually hear this type of tour being rushed. The itinerary changes daily depending on road closures, weather, tide forecast. We appreciate you touring with us.
Take this trip!
raneuzil, Aug 2022
This was hands down the highlight of my short trip to Seattle. Every stop was well planned out, but had the flexibility the switch it up so we could see things at better times (when the tide was low, and the clouds were out of the mountains) and I appreciated that Joel offered a group hike at the stops or you could do what you wanted. He also was always there to snap a photo for me whenever I needed as well. As a solo traveler I rarely get any photos of myself. I learned a lot throughout my trip and can't wait to take the other tours they offer next time I visit! I highly recommend this trip!
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Thank you for sharing you experience as a solo traveler. We really appreciate you giving Joel a review and touring with us!

Wonderful Intro to Olympic Peninsula
Meghan_H, Aug 2022
Great introduction to the Olympic Peninsula and National Park. You get to see a variety of things - beach, forest, waterfalls, lakes, and mountains - in one day. Joel was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He was always there with information and/or to take a picture if needed.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Sounds like a great day exploring the Olympic with Joel. Thank you for your review.
Day Tour from Seattle to Olympic National Park
Suet_M, Aug 2022
This tour covered the main attractions in north Olympic National Park: the Hurricane Ridge and the Lake Crescent. Both places were breathtakingly beautiful. We also visited the Madison Falls at Elwha, which was a Plan B stop as our tour was delayed on highway 101 behind a truck flat-tire incident for a long, long time. Our driver and tour guide Cory M. was very smart in handling the situation and proposed different plans for the guest to choose from. The Madison Falls was a great Plan B choice. Cory was excellent in keeping us entertained throughout the bus ride with many stories and historic information while still driving carefully. I'd choose him again for other tours. Part of the route was riding on the Ferry to Bainbridge across the Puget Sound which offered amazing views of Seattle and the Island. We stopped at the Longhouse Market & Deli for a quick break and to pick up some lunch (to eat on the bus to save time). There were a large selection of hot and cold sandwiches at the Deli. The Olympic sandwich I got was delicious!!
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Thank you for your review. I am so glad with the unexpected delay the alternative route Cory selected worked out great. We appreciate you touring with us!
Not worth the money
Trina_O, Aug 2022
Really upsetting that we didn't visit everything that was listed on the itinerary. We didn't visit 4 out of 6 places that were listed. Also, our tour guide had a very crude personality and actually snapped at some people in our group. The guide was very eager to let us on our own to hike so that he could go for a swim by himself at Lake Crescent. Very disappointed as this wasn't a cheap trip.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
There were quite a few issues from what I heard on your specific tour. It is unfortunate that you were not able to visit all of the locations however your group of five was also compensated for the mishap that was completely out of our control. Sad to see still received a low review. We still appreciate you touring with us and feedback.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE
mrsrp89, Aug 2022
Our tour guide Joel was well-versed & very conscientious, considerate & pleasant. This trip was long but with Tour guide like him it made the time go fast & enjoyable. He was very informative cuz he knows his stuff. We took ferry going to Olympic Nat’l Park & the view when we got to Hurricane Ridge was breathtaking. It was an amazing experience.

Beautiful trip!
Diane_S, July 2022
Loved this trip! It was a lot of time in the bus, but the 3 stops in the park were worth it! Cory did a nice job of balancing narrating the trip and just quiet time. He also handled unavoidable bumps in the trip well (delayed ferry and boat crossing bridge)!
Response from Host, July 2022
Yes our Olympic Tour is a very long day. We are glad you felt it was well worth it. We appreciate you understanding the unforeseen occurrences that happened during your tour. Thank you for your review and touring with us!
Do it!
LauraR, July 2022
This was the highlight of our trip. We went to Hurricane Ridge, Tongur Point and Lake Crescent. Cory was an excellent guide/driver giving us nature lessons and poi ting out interesting facts along the way about Native Americans, wildlife, trees, etc. He also went above and beyond in helping me retrieve my jacket I left behind on the tour bus. I would highly recommend this tour.
Response from Host, July 2022
Thank you so much for reviewing our tour guided by Cory. I am glad he was also able to help in retrieving your jacket. We appreciate the recommendation!

Corey as your guide
Katy_K, July 2022
At first glance it looks like Corey is tired and sleepy. But after the first stop with his coffee he seems more energetic. He is funny, accommodating and entertaining.
Response from Host, July 2022
Glad you saw the change in Cory. He is a great guide.
