What To Expect

This relaxing winery and sightseeing tour starts with a pickup from your Seattle or SeaTac hotel from 9:15a.m. to 10:15a.m. Your tour should begin at about 10:30a.m. when all pickups are complete.

Travel over Lake Washington on Seattle’s famous Evergreen Point Bridge to Woodinville, home to dozens of Washington wineries. The Evergreen State has produced a number of top wines. Enjoy tastings (own expense) at two estate-boutique wineries.

Enjoy lunch (own expense), and then take in the lush Northwest scenery in the foothills of the beautiful Cascades. Drive past horse ranches and flower farms en route to Snoqualmie Falls.

Should time allow before the return trip to your pickup location you may receive a bonus stop for a sweet treat.

Snoqualmie Falls and Wine Tour??

The trip was advertised as a tour of Snoqualmie falls and wine tasting. The blurb stated two wine tastings and the falls. We only did one winery for a tasting which was disappointing, however we did spent almost an hour at a chocolate shop which was fine, but it was the wine we came for. Also the tour guide /bus driver was candid and long winded of what he thought of Canadian's and our poor tipping practices. I found this to be insulting and disrespectful. As such he got less tip than I was planning.

Very disappointed that no tastings were included in this trip. They had an ok time, but having to pay for all of the tastings. I paid for my wife and her friend $231 for car service.. I could have drove them myself and saved money.

Mark, our driver cum guide, was excellent and knowledgeable. He was very forthcoming with information about the area and answered our queries promptly. He kept us entertain with his commentary and trivia questions. The entire journey was filled with laughter. The choice of the wineries were excellent too. We get to visit Chateau St Michelle, the founding winery as well as Goodridge, a family-run winery.

Our tour guide was very good this review is not a reflection on him. Most of this tour was very enjoyable. The reason for the low-star review was the first "winery" visit. When you see a tour of a winery you expect to be taken to a vineyard not a Strip mall. Goose Ridge estate winery was our first visit. It is in a strip mall. We were charged $20 each to taste 4 very ordinary wines. When I looked at the credit card charges it was $50 + . We could have put this towards a bottle of wine. Unfortunately, we were embarking on a cruise the next day and could not do this. The winery we stopped at for lunch was expensive, but you could purchase a glass of wine with your meal. The tasting there was $30 a person so we skipped that. We then went to a real winery for just 30 minuets and could purchase a glass of wine and sit outside. The visit to Snoqualmie Falls was interesting. The visit to the chocolate factory was the highlight of the tour. Unlike the wineries they did not seem to be taking advantage of the tourists. This was a pleasant day out spoilt by the first visit to Goose Ridge estate winery. Where they tried to sell their wine club, in a manner that reminded us of being sold a time share and charging us $50 for the privileged.

So for a party of 2 it was $265 - the information they sent out prior to the tour said it only included only 10 people, but on the day of the tour there was actually 20 people. It also said we would stop off at 3 wineries, there were only 2; the tour guide said they used to have 3, but had not updated their info. At Chateau Ste. Michelle, unless you had a reservation prior to coming you were not allowed to do wine tasting or do a wine flight. None of this was explained prior to the tour. So basically it was just lunch at Ste. Michelle, which was spendy! At Goose Ridge they did not give wine samples, you had to purchase wine too. So basically the $265 was just to pay you to be driven to the Snoqualmie Falls and back. Geez, I could have rented a car and done that myself for less money. VERY disappointing tour, not worth the money. So beware about going on this particular tour.

We do not confirm how many guest are on the tour, our details state it can be anywhere from a 14 to 24 passenger mini bus. Obviously I did not read the tour. We had to pay for our 2 tastings which I was surprised since this wasn’t a cheap tour. The first winery was good and I posted their pricing. St. Michelle’s was having a concert and we should not have gone there. They could not provide tasting to most of our group. My husband is pushy and was able to taste. Beautiful but not relaxing due to the crowds. Driver was fun, gave a good tour, and really did try with a stop at a chocolate factory on the trip back to Seattle.

The tour exceeded our expectations! We visited not one, but two wineries, the waterfall and a chocolate factory which wasn’t in the description. Our guide Mark deserved 500 stars! We had such a fun day and I haven’t laughed that much in ages. It was wonderful to see the areas outside of Seattle and Mark was a wealth of information and entertainment. Highly recommend!

Our guide Mark, was very good and entertaining. If you are expecting a wine tour, this is not it. They are shops l, restaurants of local wineries, hours away. To me that was very disappointing, expected a winery tour. We would have like to walk and explore the falls longer, barely enough time to circle around, with such nice trails and a lodge plus the sunshine it would have been so refreshing. The chocolate shop was nice and definitely a local must.

The highlights for us were the wine tasting at Goose Ridge & the Snoqualmie Falls, which facilitated good interaction with other participants. We enjoyed the Chateau St. Michelle grounds & would have appreciated a lunch stop there as it was more interactive.
