It was nice to learn about the market’s history while also visiting vendors and sampling food and drink from the market.

This was a wonderful introduction to Seattle’s history and the importance of the small business community. Our tour guide, Lucky, did a fantastic job of showing us the area and giving us great information about the market. We would definitely recommend anyone visiting Seattle for the first time take this tour.

It was great!! A must do and see!! Having a knowledgeable guide was great!! Having a person that knows vendors was very helpful in getting discounts on goods to take home from your vacation!!

Chip was an incredible guide. His enthusiasm for Seattle is contagious. We would like to see a balance between salty and sweet treats. Maybe the cheese.
Food, fun and history.
Barry_L, Nov 2022
The history of the Market was key. The food was excellent as well. So much fun: food and education. Jerry was an amazing guide.
Must go on your!

Seeing the many different levels and unknown parts of the market place. Knowing what spots to hit later.
Excellent food tour

Fun way to see the market. Interesting nibbles and great tour by Chip. Wonderfully coordinated even through the tourist crowds and the noise of the market. 100% recommend!
Fun tour

It was really nice to not have to fight the crowds. Sarah was great! Would have liked to he able purchase items at each stop while on the tour. We got turned around and couldn't find our way back to a couple locations.
Worth getting up early
Angelina, Oct 2022
Jerry was a fantastic guide with a clear love for the market. He also went out of his way to make sure I had wheat/gluten free food options at every stop. Going early was definitely worth it, the crowds were really starting to pack in toward the end of our tour. All around great experience.
Must go tour! Start off you visit to Seattle here.
Beki_K, Sept 2022
What an amazing tour. Jerry was very informative and knowledgeable about the market and Seattle. The food samplings were very diverse. We loved to hear the stories about the merchants and history of the market. The market is a must see and the tour a must do!
So worth it!!!!
Becky_L, Sept 2022
This was money so we’ll spent!! Jerry was our tour guide and he was amazing. We learned so much about the market and loved the food tastings! If you can only do one thing in Seattle, do the market tour!
5 tastings in 2 hours with a lot of info unrelated to food.
JanetLane, Sept 2022
This tour was just ok. Lucky was our guide and was very knowledgeable. Not sure that I needed to know his life story, but.... it felt a bit rushed and was more about the history of pike place. This was fine, but i guess when it says tasting tour you think it's all about food. We spent more time in the outside skirts of the market instead of in the market itself.
Response from Host, Sept 2022
Hi Janet - The Early Bird is a tasting tour, but also a cultural and history tour. We are sorry if it wasn't what you expected. The tour includes at least 8 stops for tastings at various vendors who are our partners, so we are concerned that you only experienced 5. We will follow up with the guide. Although it may have felt like the 'outskirts', our tour covers the heart of the Market, but many of the food vendors are not 'inside' a building. Sorry for any confusion! We would be happy to discuss a partial refund but would need some more information. Please email us directly if interested. Best, Leslie leslie@showmeseattle.com
Gave us an excellent varied taste of the market!
Pamela_H, Sept 2022
Lucky was our guide. He brought the history of the market to life. You could tell he enjoyed his job and sharing his knowledge with us. Great tour and I recommend it when you are in Seattle. The samples gave us a little flavor of the market as well
Best tour ever!
cherylbayne, Sept 2022
It was really beneficial being able to enter the market early so it wasn’t so crowded. Our tour guide, Lucky, was fabulous. He has a great personality and consider knowledge of the market, the vendors, and the history of the market, in addition to a large breadth of knowledge about Seattle in general. He truly loves his job and it shows! He is one of the best tour guides we have had anywhere in the country. I’d give this a 6 star rating if I could.
Fun, Informative, Yummy
Mandy_B, Aug 2022
Went with my family (husband, 14Y girl, and 12Y boy) and we all enjoyed the tour. The food was really good, plentiful and the tour guide was very knowledgable. Would definitely recommend again.
Great value and experience!
Aubrie_C, Aug 2022
Chip did a great job explaining the rich history behind Pike’s place and giving us a taste of what it offers, today. He kept thing moving at an engaging pace and I felt like I was constantly learning something new about the historic building. He also gave us a few tips about what to do/see in the surrounding area which helped solidify our plans for the rest of our trip. Overall we really enjoyed the 2.5 hr tour and would do it again with friends/family!
