Absolutely breathtakingly amazing day trip! We saw so many fish 🐠 and went to Kelingking beach 🏝️. We were pinching ourselves as we couldn’t believe it was real! Huge thank you to Ben our driver who went above and beyond to help accommodate our plans for the day!

Our experience of the trip overall was good however the morning was very stressful as no driver arrived till 7.20 and we were waiting since 6:30am and had no confirmation or updates from the driver/business. After getting in the car we then broke down because there was no fuel and I had to push the car to the side of the road as he ran to get 2 bottles of fuel to put in. It was stressful and hot.

Great full day in Nusa Penida with a great guide

A great road trip around Nusa Penida in the morning (less busy than the afternoon) and then snorkelling in the afternoon. A manta ray swam within one metre of us! Our guide Putu was brilliant the whole day- a cool and interesting young guy who knew exactly what we wanted to see and was very helpful for all of us, especially my mum.

DANGEROUS!

DANGEROUS! Be careful! Roads in Nusa Penida are narrow and in bad conditions, our driver was mad crazy honking at ever other car in the road and running at >75km/h. We had a small fender bender but it was scary. Besides that, tour is ok. Touristc places crowded and not more than 10 min in each viewpoint for sightseeing. Snorkeling is the best part, but it depends on the tide conditions to see the manta rays.

Beautiful beaches and fun snorkelling points

I had an absolutely amazing trip to Nusa Penida in Bali! Thanks to our fantastic guide, Putu, who made the experience even more memorable with his excellent hospitality and knowledge of the area. We got to explore breathtaking spots like Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong, and Kelingking Beach. Breathtaking

We had to change the itinerary last minute because we couldn't snorkel, and the tour guide was so accomodating of these last minute changes. In the end, we explored the west side of Nusa Penida. The views are beyond breathtaking, truly something not to be missed in anyone's lifetime! The local tour guide, Wita, was very friendly and happy to accomodate and of our needs.

Our tour guide Ben was super nice. Nusa penida is a must go trip for everyone. Amazing view, esp when u go snorkeling 😍 we got to see tons of fish and the highlight of the trip was definitely the manta ray 😍😍😍

We had a great time on this tour. We were picked up from our villa in Ubud at 6:15 am and brought to the port at Sanur for the 7:30 am boat. We arrived in Nusa Penida at 8:15 and were picked up by our guide to do the tour of Nusa Penida. We stopped for coffee and a pastry and then began immediately to beat the crowds. Our first stop was Kelingking Beach, and our guide took us to a spot a bit away from the crowds, and climbed up into a tree to get the best shots - we were stunned! We then went to view some of the other spots, including Broken Beach. We were then brought to the snorkeling spot, where we grabbed a quick lunch and started our snorkeling trip. We were able to see six Manta Rays at Manta Beach, and beautiful coral and tropical fish at our second and third spots. We are not avid snorkelers, so though the stops were probably each about 15-30 minutes, that was plenty of time for us. We had the best time on this trip and would recommend it as a must do to anyone visiting Nusa Penida -- we would not have enjoyed it nearly as much without the snorkeling portion.

It was a a good private tour.but ideally I do wish we spent more time at Kelingking beach and hiked down to the beach and spent some time in the ocean and skipped broken beach bc we were able to see broken beach thru the snorkeling boat. But we literally rushed thru Kelingking then rushed thru broken beach and didn’t see angel’s Billabong we were adviced we won’t see much even tho on the description it said we could try to swim in the pond. . So we went to lunch instead then snorkeled.

Good fun Day on the water

Great value. We were well looked after. Knowledgeable guides. Beautiful sites. After group snorkeling at four sites our private guide took us to a local restaurant in the hills for a delicious lunch ( not included in this tour but still very reasonably priced) then on to the beautiful Crystal beach to relax in the hot afternoon. Our guide helped us negotiate the confusing boarding process to get back to the mainland.

Worst boat trip/day trip ever!

The boat ride was horrible. Overcrowded on both the small boat and ferry. Extremely hot in the ferry with no ventilation. We had to jump off the side of the boat onto the dock - unlike anything else. Literally leap over water gap off .5-1mtr and land on dock holding the guides hands. It was extremely unsafe with a huge gap of water to jump across. I have been on a number of tours and never experienced this. The snorkeling they allowed us no more than 10-15min at each location with nothing to see really. Water was very clear but there were extremely rough seas and the boat was so overcrowded there were not enough seats for everyone. Would NEVER go again, entirely unsafe and unpleasant. The people were nice, everything else I was so glad when it ended.

Rushed tour

Very rushed, 10min per spot for snorkelling just to claim multiple spots were visited, and despite having the whole day (they probably rent the boat for a limited shorter time to save money). The land tour was better but you will spend more time in the car getting to places than seeing things. Overall experience of this tour was disappointing, especially for the high price.

Find a tour with a smaller group for snorkeling

There were two parts to this excursion. Part one was a boat trip with snorkeling and part two was a private tour to a few key spots on the island. The first part was extremely crowded. The snorkeling boat could fit 30 people max and every space was crammed. It felt unsafe at times. Even snorkeling was tough since there were so many people in the water at one time that you couldn't even move. I would recommend another tour with fewer people on the snorkeling boat. This was the part of the tour that we were most excited about and came away very disappointed. Part two of this excursion was much better! We had an amazing driver, Komang, who took us to a few really beautiful spots on the island. He was so knowledgeable about all the best vantage points and where to go to get the best pictures. He was also really great at navigating the tight and bumpy roads on Nusa Penida! Thanks, Komang!!!

Manta mission

The day started with heavy rain which made for an interesting ferry ride. The swell was quite significant especially when out snorkelling. The first two stops for snorkelling, were far too rough for most people to jump in. We saw the manta ray from above but felt much happier to stay on the boat. (I would say I was an intermediate level in snorkelling but even some more experienced divers were put off by the sea conditions.) Luckily the sea and weather calmed down on our next stops and we were able to enjoy the beautiful coral and sea life. Our guide was constantly taking photos and videos- which were great and really captured the memories of the day. Once back on land, we explored 3 beaches on Nusa Penida. It was amazing, dramatic scenery. Our guide on land was an excellent photographer and driver. Some of the roads were rather scary with huge potholes and shear edges- virtually non existent roads. Our lunch stop was a bit disappointing. We ordered seafood fried rice but it was 70% chicken. Overall, it was a long but enjoyable day with great memories.

Amazing Snorkelling with a great tour guide

This was a great trip with some of the best snorkelling we’ve done! You start by being dropped at the ferry and getting the ferry to Nysa Penida, when you get off the ferry we found our driver very quickly as he had a sign for us. He got us sorted with the snorkelling aspect of the trip, and said he would see us when we got back. You go to 4 different snorkelling points; we saw so many fish and manta rays! It was incredible. The only disappointment was that it felt a little rushed and you didn’t get a huge amount of time in each spot. When you get back to mainland and meet your driver; we did expect to be able to shower and change as per the description but there was no offer of that so we ended up drying in our snorkelling gear and putting clothes over the top. Ketut our driver was so lovely! He made the day really enjoyable with his facts about the island and showing us around. The points around Nusa Penida to see are very beautiful but crowded and most people are queueing for that one great spot. Ketut was more than happy to queue for us to get great pics but we’re just not the Instagram type of people! Then he took us to such a lovely lunch spot, which was great. Then we got the ferry back.
