Team Nancy’s Great DMZ Tour!

Team Nancy was an excellent tour leader. She was very knowledgeable and attentive to the group. Team Nancy has the perfect personality to lead the group for she is personable, informative and communicates well. I would definitely recommend this DMZ tour to my friends and family and hope they are able to have Team Nancy as their group leader.
Very Disappointed. No hotel pickup, tour was cancelled

We received a WhatsApp message late the night before the tour, that instead of needing to arrive at the meeting location at 9:50am, the tour would be departing at 5:30am because of military operations at the DMZ. That was not an option for us since our train wasn’t scheduled to arrive until close to the original scheduled tour time. We were also told in the message that several tours were going to be combined so space was limited and we’d have to arrive even earlier to secure a spot. I was already disappointed with the tour because it was advertised as hotel pickup (and our hotel was listed on the pickup sites), but then, after booking I received an email from the tour company saying that there were 3 designated pickup sites and the closest to our hotel was 40 minutes away by taxi. VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.

Well organized and enjoyable

Very well organized and leaded by Crystal the guide. She managed to get there early due to the new arrangement of the place, otherwise we wouldn't get in. Even that we had a lot of free time everything was well organized and Crystal explained everything in enjoyable way. Besides this, visiting the village at the end was not necessary.

Gabby was a great tour guide. The trip was humbling but good. Great opportunity for my children (9 & 7) to learn some history. I definitely learned some new information. Food stop was also good. Would definitely go back.

Good visit to the dmz, the reason why I don't give 5 stars is because there was a lot of free time that I think could have been better utilized to give further background about the dmz.

Jenny was our tour guide and she was phenomenal. Due to the military constraints for timed entry, we had to wait several hours but Jenny filled some of that wait with her own tour inside the complex. She still left us plenty of time to explore independently as well. She was very informative, patient, and kind. The tour ended up being a full day (you don't know how long you will have to wait for entry until you arrive), so would be hesitant to plan too much else that day. Would definitely recommend!

Really bad time management

You should definitely visit the DMZ while staying in Seoul. BUT the organisation and timeline of this tour could be improved: the tour was offered as half day tour - actually we started at 7 am and came back to the meeting point at 4 pm. In the DMZ we had only 2,5 hours - the rest of the time was transport and waiting.

Fun time-pass trip

Overall good tour. Jenny was funny and caring and well-informed. Did have to leave at 5:20 and then wait until 9:50 to be let past the checkpoint, but time went by pretty fast. As others have said, not exactly the most thrilling experience, but cool to have said you’ve done it. Overall worth the $60 in my opinion if you have the time. Thanks, Jenny!

Interesting day near the border

I was very happy with this tour. Our tourguide Moon was extremely professional and gave us nice insights into the korean history as well as shared her own personal memories around the topic. Although we had to wait for a bit before we were able to get into the actual tour, Moon made us very comfortable and the time passed really quick. I think this tour is a must do while in Seoul.

Good tour, would recommend doing once

Good tour. We were very lucky, not having to wait 3 hours but being transfered to an other bus. Thank you Kay. We then travelled with Moon who was a good tour guide and answered all our questions. Why not 5 stars? Well, the tour itself hasn't that much to offer, only three sites, is very strictly timed and has a lot of western propaganda, which can be annoying sometimes.
