Lots of food and lots of walking

Our guide, Julian, did a good job showing us various Korean cuisines in the Northern Seoul area. We stopped at five locations with a good bit of walking in between the first two and last three places. The good was primarily savory, with the two sweet items both being fried. We also had an interesting alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice. Overall the food was tasty and abundant so we were very full by the end.

There were so many good things to try on this tour, especially at and near Namdaemun market! We also covered a lot of ground on foot; it was nice to have breaks in between the food tastings. The itinerary listed here is just a suggestion, I'm guessing, because we didn't follow it. It's definitely the priciest the food tour I've done, but it was nice to do a private tour for a change.

It started to rain when we began our tour but thanks to host Priscilla, it still turned out enjoyable. We’ve been to Seoul a few times and I am glad we discovered new street food places like Namdaemun market, Tongin market and Seochon.

Julian was a great guide, the food was delicious, and our route took us through several interesting areas. He helped us with directions after the last stop as well, which was helpful as we continued on to other points of interest nearby. I appreciated his sharing the ingredients used so I knew which items were prepared non-vegetarian (I am a vegetarian and other tours I investigated had nothing to offer those who don’t eat meat, fish, seafood, etc). He also kindly shared the Korean names of the foods (and pronounced them slowly for me) as I am a beginner studying the language. Come hungry, because there is a lot of good food to eat—overall a great introduction to Korean street foods!

This review is overdue but my friend and I did this tour about 3 weeks ago during our stay in Seoul. We met Priscilla by the metro in an area that had shops and food vendors. The first place we went had a variety of different dishes that were healthy and delicious. But save your appetite because there is more where that came from. We had a few vendor items like steamed buns that were tasty too and good as breakfast or a snack. At this point we were full so we walked it off a bit. At the next point we went to another area and had another Korean specialty (I don't want to spoil too much)that was delicious. By the end we topped it off with dessert. Priscilla was very sweet and sociable and gave a few pointers about Korea. I appreciate her and the tour experience very much. The next day we weren't bloated or anything like we would be with food in our country. I hope whoever joins this tour will experience the greatness we did.

Sanghee was fantastic! Our tour started late morning and began our 3 hour walking tour of Seoul. We tasted a variety of wonderful Korean food from multiple kiosks in the less-touristy alleys which we wouldn't visit on our own! She spoke very well English, was very informative and gave us lots of information on Seoul, the culture and of course the local food! My husband and me both enjoyed Sanghee's company, expertise & intellect. Best food tour we did so far!

My wife and I enjoyed the tour from start to finish. Our tour guide ‘business’ level of English, detailed historical knowledge and local flavour was exactly what we were looking for. She also made everything fun and interesting, highlighting small details that without her we would have missed! She was incredibly flexible, adjusting parts of the tour to suit our interests we told her about along the way. Highly recommend this tour!!
