I would have given 5 stars, but the description of the tour was misleading. Not the fault of our driver. Lorenzo. We expected to already have a tour lined up for Pompeii, but Lorenzo had to scramble to get us a guide. He did put us in the hands of Vernica, and she was great. However, many in my group were unprepared to pay the extra tour fee and tips.

Taking the private tour of Pompeii, Ravello and position was great. Our tour guide, Lorenzo was beyond wonderful. Friendly, knownledable and drove smoothly which seems difficult to do in this area. We also took a private tour of Pompeii. Again worth it. She was wonderful too.

Bad traffic, but loved Pompeii

Our driver was on time, nice, and a very good driver. He wasn’t very talkative so we didn’t really feel like we were getting a “guided” tour. The traffic was TERRIBLE, which we thought could have been anticipated with map apps. Had we known it was going to take nearly 3 hours to get from the port to the Amalfi coast, we would have preferred a change in itinerary. As it was, we only had time to visit one town on the Amalfi coast for about 90 mins. After the Amalfi Coast, we went to Pompeii. Our tour company suggested that we hire a private tour guide at Pompeii, which was an additional fee. We didn’t realize that our guide couldn’t do that part of the tour. In the end, we were VERY glad that we did the extra guided tour at Pompeii as that guided tour was FANTASTIC- 5 stars. We learned so much from Etoli!! I’m not sure if that guide is associated with this tour company or Viator. Absolutely go to Pompeii and spend the extra money for a guide.

We are professional drivers, we know a lot about the area but the professional tour guide is a different job! As professional drivers, as locals we know what we are doing so it is important for you to trust in your driver, if it was possible to change itinerary for sure we did it, while if you book a tour guide for the afternoon we can’t go to Pompeii in the morning and we can’t take another road on the Coast if there’s an accident as here there’s just one road, so before to complain about that, give a look to a map to learn something about the local geography . I’m glad you had a good time with our guide in Pompeii, it is important to have one while visiting the most well preserved ruins of the Roman time. Beautiful Tour of the Coast

We spent our first full day in Italy as a family on this tour and had a great time! Francesco drove us to Positano and Amalfi, where we saw the views, shopped and ate lunch. The stops were about an hour and a half each. We had enough time to see the towns, but I wouldn’t expect enough time to really relax in either (which makes sense because it’s a busy day)! The drive had the most beautiful views and Francesco navigated the roads safely. He pointed out interesting places along the drive. Next we went to Pompeii. We selected to pay extra for a tour guide in Pompeii. Our guide (Andrew) was very helpful and interesting. Pompeii would have been overwhelming without a tour guide, so I’m glad we made this decision. We got picked up in Naples around 8:30 am and got back at around 7 pm. It was a beautiful, fun, and busy day!

Unbeatable! This private tour was with Gustavo in late March 2023. He provided the ultimate in safety, chauffer services & tour information for Naples, Pompei, Sorrento, Possitano & the Amalfi Coast. His English is impeccable & he’s well aware of where to stop for unforgettable pictures & scenery along the way. He suggested an awesome winery for lunch & local wine tasting @ Bosco de Medici, an incredible location. We could not have chosen a better driver or guide. Highly suggest that if Gustavo isn’t available when you book, try as best you can to find a day that he’s available…you will be glad you did!

What a absolutely Fantastic day trip and experience this was! It started off with meeting our driver and guide for the day Gus (Gustavo) this gentleman truly Made the entire trip and adventure! His knowledge and experience plus the way he went Above and Beyond to ensure that we had a great experience was wonderful! If we wanted to stop somewhere and take pictures…No Problem! If we wanted to make a side stop, No Problem! He recommended one of our Best experiences which was a brief tour and lunch/wine tasting at the most fabulous Winery Bosco del Medici! And another thing that we really appreciate about Gus is that he never made us feel “rushed” it was our day and he wanted us to enjoy as much as possible! I highly recommend that you do this tour it’s worth every penny and please request Gus as your Guide, you won’t be disappointed!!! I must apologize that my review is a little late, we did this tour a week prior to my review!

SPECTACULAR!!! Lorenzo was a great guide and skilled driver! He took us to a fantastic bakery along the way. He stopped at scenic outlooks for photos, he answered all of our questions. I was thinking that it was a pricey option to see the coast, but then I found out it was just my husband and I and the driver - it was worth every penny! They arranged a private tour of Pompeii as well and Sylvia was very knowledgeable. One of the highlights of our trip! I would have liked to spent a little more time in Positano though.

Luca was an AMAZING tour guide!!! Upon his arrival to our hotel he presented himself in a professional manner and kept his composure the entire day, which is truly impressive given the driving conditions and heat. We explored Pistiano, Amalfi, Ravello, and Pompeii. Each location he gave us some fun history facts and allowed us to explore on our own without any rush (we're New Yorkers so we don't need much time to see everything). I would 1000000% percent recommend Luca again!

Lorenzo was the best! Was not expecting to have such a luxury experience of seeing the best of the coast. Lorenzo was very polite and friendly to my sister and I on this trip. He was very patient and communicated to us very well what the itinerary was. All places he brought us was all worth it and reccomended a breath taking view for lunch. Would highly reccomend booking if you want to see these spots privately and at your own pace. Thank you for everything Lorenzo!
