Traveller Tips

This tour can be flexible with what the group wants to do.
Also we hadn't eaten since our breakfast at our hotel before pickup at 0720, it was now 1300 so I would suggest you take plenty of snacks and water with you.
Birds, plants, some hiking and a picnic away from crowds, with only one day to see the Blue Mountains, this trip was ideal.

Very knowledgeable and entertaining guide took us safely from site to site. Always felt like we had plenty of time to take in the view or activity and never felt rushed. Over all a great experience that was well worth it!
Blue Mtns in the rain!
Janice_W, Feb 2023
Unfortunately it poured rain and the mist prevented us from seeing the Blue Mountains at all. The visit to the Featherdale Nature Park was great (could have used another 1/2 hr) and the tour guide attempted to make the tour enjoyable by taking us to a lovely village of Leura.

Kat was an excellent guide, telling us history and experience in the blue mountains region . We had enjoyable day with Kat she took us to off road over looks, and we had a picnic lunch. Good day
The Blue Mts ...Wow
David_G, Feb 2023
Ian was our host for the day. He was prompt and provided a commentary for the day that was local and informative. We picked up the remaining guests and headed out of town for our stop at the farm. We saw a range of Aussie animals but Koalas, Kangaroos and Kookabarras were especially enjoyable. We visited a range of well known places, was provided with a packed lunch and scenic walk and given such a good back story by Ian.
Amazing day trip!

Amazing day trip! Our guide Jelle was great and took us to places where large busses can't go. We were total of 9 guests which allowed us to ask questions and had personal time with our guide. I recommend this tour 100%!!!

Perfect tour in great weather
r4smussen, Feb 2020
My girlfriend and I went on tour with Alexander on a chilly but beautiful Wednesday morning I February. We were very excited about the first stop and delighted to experience the animals in the wild life park before everyone else. From here on, the weather conditions changed for the worse which resulted in an interesting trip, but not as scenic as expected. You could tell the trip was made for good weather conditions which obviously not implied a rainy and foggy Wednesday. I believe that if the weather would have been great, we would have loved the tour even more. Alexander did a nice job as our guide and knew everything and explained things thoroughly and understandable. The lunch was great! The rating is inky tour starts because it seemed like there wasn't any "plan b" when most of the trip was covered in fog. Would recommend everyone and anyone to do this trip!
Just awesome

highlight of my week in Sydney. Picked up nice and early. Had little picnic before heading off on walk. Was just lush and peaceful away from where all the normal tourists head to. Tour guide Carlos was fabulous and had great knowledge. Read up on what is involved, we were unfortunate to have had someone who was very unfit and slowed group down a little although this did allow us to see the stunning scenery along way. Stopped and had little break under s cliff looking out over the blue mountains, snacks provided by tour provider, continued with walk to beautiful waterfall and washed face in water to cool down. Stopped for great lunch in little cafe, Turkish bread sandwiches freshly made. Then had drive to couple more lookouts again away from where all the tour drives go to see 3 sisters. Lovely drive back to Perth through some of towns in blue mountains. Would highly recommend booking this tour
Great Views of a beautiful place
Karen_J, Dec 2019
There were only 4 of us in our group which was nice. We visited the Featherdale Animal Sancuary and fed the wallabies. We managed to see the Blue Mountains despite the smoke from the bush fires. Our guide was very informative. The scenery was absolutely stunning. We did a hike, which was described as easy to moderate, my husband and I are fairly fit but I would describe this as moderate to hard. Towards the end of the hike it is mostly uphill (alot of steps) and in the heat and after over an hour of hiking took its toll. Also we hadn't eaten since our breakfast at our hotel before pickup at 0720, it was now 1300 so I would suggest you take plenty of snacks and water with you. However, the views along the route were amazing and we were rewarded with a lovely picnic at the end. This is a full day and well worth it.
Magnificent Blue Mountains!

Thank you Jelle, Dingo Tours for selecting a route that provided a great personal experience of this beautiful place. We enjoyed the historical and cultural commentary and music along the way. Birds, plants, some hiking and a picnic away from crowds, with only one day to see the Blue Mountains, this trip was ideal.

My tour was cancelled by organizer 3 days before the tour date
Ranjana_S, Aug 2019
My tour was cancelled 3 days before the tour date and I was offered an option which was not at all comparable to the tour which I had booked. Cancelling the tour, because I was the only one signed up, is understandable but a bit more notice of cancellation would have been better because I was left at the last minute looking for a tour which covered the points that this tour was going to cover.
Response from Host, Aug 2019
Why the gross inaccuracies? Indeed, I had to cancel your tour and I am of course very sorry about that. As a small operator, I can hardly afford cancellations. However, as you indeed point out, I am unable to run a tour with only 1 guest. As all tour operators, we also require minimum 2 guests for a tour to go ahead. Obviously I hate to cancel a tour, which is why I waited as long as possible for last minute bookings to come in. Unfortunately that did not happen. But I messaged you 4 days(!) in advance - not 3 days as you mistakenly claim. In this message, sent on Aug 6, 2019, (-i’e’ 4 days before departure - I have the Tripadvisor record to show this), I offered to organise a seat for you on the Blue Mountains tour run by our partner. (FYI - their tour is actually quite a bit more expensive than mine, but of course I always pay the difference myself). This partnering operators' Blue Mountains itinerary is similar to ours, with only 1 real difference: instead of Featherdale, their tour visits Calmsley Farm to see a whole bunch native animals (including kangaroos, wombats and koalas). All other tour elements are virtual identical to ours, including: - A 1.5 hour walk - All major valleys visited (Jamison and Grose Valley) - Packed lunch - Small group - Luxury vehicle - Return via Bells line of Road - Visit to Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens, However, onAugust 8th at 11.30 PM (more than 2 days after my initial message), you requested a refund as “ “I do not want the AEA's Blue Mountains tour as it does not include Featherdale Park.” Isn't it again dishonest to now say that " was offered an option which was not at all comparable to the tour which I had booked."? The alternative option was very comparable. You also say that by cancelling 3 days in advance (as I mention, it was 4 days in advance), I did not give you the time to source another tour Blue Mountains tour Well, firstly: you had 4 days, not 3. Anyway, 3 days, leave alone 4, is plenty of time to find another operator. As anybody can see on Tripadvisor or Google, there are large number of operators who run daily Blue Mountains tours. But where I do agree with you, is that it may have been difficult to source an operator that covers the points that my tour was going to cover. Few indeed do, with 1 exception: alternative tour I suggested to you, and which you declined! Frankly Mr or Ms Slothouber, I find your dishonest review disappointing and infuriating. Sad.

Great tour. Went with Jelle, who runs The Dingo Tours operation. Lovely chap, very knowledgeable about the area, fauna and flora and Australian history. Only 5 of us on the tour. Started with early entry into Featherdale wildlife park which allowed us up close contact with the animals. The coach parties were just starting to arrive as we left. On to a really nice walk around Wentworth falls, then Three sisters viewpoint, then Pulpit Rock, each time avoiding the coach tours. Fantastic views at each location and nice picnic lunch. Back via 30 minute stop at the Botanic gardens arriving in Sydney at 5:30pm. Loved it.

A really good day which we had to ourselves because of a previous cancellation. A good pace throughout the day and we were able to finesse the schedule.

Had a wonderful day! There were 10 people total on the tour the van was roomy and comfortable Steven was our tour guide and did a great job! we went first to Featherdale Wildlife Park - saw crocodile, koala bears, kangaroos, birds, wombats, bats, dingo's emu's, etc. I was able to pet the kangaroos and cockatoo. We went to two overlooks - Gordon Overlook and Three Sisters We deleted to hike with picnic lunch - magnificent views! Exhausting, but well worth it. We walked/hiked for about 1.5 hours. The last part was 427 steps straight up! Saw lizards, birds, and ant hills! The views were breathtaking after that experience we headed to the Botanical Gardens - beautiful flowers/views/ and had a couple glasses of champagne A perfect day!
