What To Expect

Your tour begins with pickup from your Sydney hotel in time for a 7:45am departure. Traveling in the comfort of a private vehicle, set out on the around 2-hour journey into the Blue Mountains.

Climb the mountain roads through the Blue Mountains National Park until you reach the Wentworth Falls. Hop out to admire the views at one of the region’s most vantage points.

Continue to nearby Katoomba, where you’ll have the choice to hike to Katoomba Falls (45-minute medium-level hike) or visit Scenic World (extra costs apply; approximately AU$35 per adult). If you visit Scenic World, opt to ride the Scenic Railway along the Jamison Valley floor, take a walk along the Scenic Walkway, and enjoy thrilling aerial views on the Scenic Cableway or Scenic Skyway.

There’s just time for a stop at the Echo Point viewpoint before lunch, to enjoy spectacular views of the famous Three Sisters peaks. After posing for photos against a backdrop of the magnificent Jamison Valley, enjoy a delicious Aussie-style lunch (own expense) in Leura village.

After lunch, visit the Featherdale Wildlife Park (entrance fees not included - $28 per adult), where you can spot Australian wildlife including kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, and echidnas.

Choose to either return to Sydney by car (including hotel drop-off) or ride the public ferry back to Sydney along the Parramatta River, ending your tour back in Sydney Harbour.

Blue Mountains. New Friends. Priceless.
Glenford_T, June 2022
Laurin and Phuong were gems as guides. They made us comfortable. They were flexible and best of all, they were so easy to get along with. We felt that we were hanging out for the day with old friends. Their services are highly recommended. The visit to Dry Ridge Winery was the highlight of the day. Do not leave that out of the itinerary!

Thank you Glenford and Vivienne for your lovely review. We are glad that you both enjoyed your day at the Blue Mountains. We felt like we were hanging out with old friends as well. You and Vivienne also made the day enjoyable for us and it was lovely to meet you both. The Dry Ridge Winery was absolutely gorgeous wasn't it. Next time you return to Sydney, Australia, we hope we can show you more of our beautiful country.

We took this tour a few months ago and had a fantastic day. We got to see the Blue Mountains from several great viewing spots and then had lunch at a great little cafe in Leura. It was the perfect last outing for our trip down under!

Everything went as planned. Glen our guide was there to meet us at the ship and he was a great guide. I believe he provided more than was expected. The Sydney Opera House was great and Glen took us to some of the out of the way places, as well as a great trip to the Blue Mountains the next day. Five stars from the four of us!

We wanted to see the Blue Mountains and to also see Koalas and other domestic animals and we thought this would be a good trip. Glenn arrived early and on our way to the Blue Mountains, we had an option of doing a short scenic hike or a longer more strenous hike. We chose the longer one of course and it was worth it. Make sure you have proper shoes and able to climb down/up steep steps. The trip to Featherdale Wildlife Park is where we saw Koalas and other animals and we also liked that experience. It definitely was an entire day long drives, but it was well worth it and Glenn made sure we were able to see what we wanted to see.

Fastest way to see and do a lot in one day! Arrived Blue Mountains early, selected the Scenic World option so we went on the rides. If you don't want to extensively hike the park, the 3 rides cable car, tilted rail ride and tram are the very best way to see the highlights. Lunch in Leura was excellent. The Featherdale wildlife park option is also great if you want to see a lot of Australians animals. We were there at closing and were able to have more than adequate time to pet the koalas. The ferry back to Sydney is an excellent ending to the trip. It's short, smooth and has great views arriving in Sydney. Glenn, our guide, was terrific.

This tour gets five stars simply because our tour guide, Glenn, was the best. He made sure we're all comfortable and that all our interests were catered to. Booking the private day trip is worth it for our small group of four as the itinerary was quite flexible and fully customizable. We departed the Sydney CBD early enough in anticipation of the traffic, and when we got to the different stops, Glenn chose drop off points that were convenient and not crowded for us to enjoy the sceneries. The biggest advantage is that we moved at our own pace as opposed to joining a group tour with people we didn't know. The trip was not tiring at all, and we were back in the city as scheduled.
