You will be picked up from your Sydney Hotel or other central location within 5km of the city center. We can also meet you as you arrive at Sydney International or Domestic Airports. For groups of 11 people or more, there is an additional fee of AUD$10 per person to accommodate your luggage for Cruise Ship and Airport pickups or drop offs. This can be paid to your guide in cash on the day, or we can send you a payment link to prepay by credit card. You will need to load and unload your own luggage. Our guides are not professional porters and under Work, Health and Safety regulations are not permitted to lift heavy bags.

Outstanding tour guide!!

Vic was absolutely outstanding. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we toured, a great storyteller. We even asked why he wasn’t a teacher because his narration was so engaging. He moderated the time spent in each place based on what we wanted to see. He was one of the best guides we’ve had. Highly recommend his tours!

Great way to see Sydney in a day

After arriving in Sydney on a cruise we had limited time to see the sites of Sydney and get a feel for it’s many neighborhoods and history. Jeff gave us a great tour of the many districts in and around Sydney with both flexibility and fun stories. We never would have seen Sydney and all it has to offer without this tour! Definitely recommend it

Incredible tour! Andrew, our guide was extremely informative, friendly & accommodating. We provided a small list (day of) and all of those areas were already included in the tour. I felt like Andrew managed our time to make the most if it. Charming picturesque waterside cafe was chosen for lunch. Plenty of opportunity to stretch our legs, take pictures & for potty breaks. This tour at first seemed $$, but when we divided up the cost between the 4 of us, for an 8 hour tour and all we were able to see & learn it was totally worth it! Highly Highly recommend!! Of note- we had some very last minute pick up changes (our fault) and the tour company made it extremely easy to work out. Lots of communication via text! This tour company is professional and very experienced. After the tour, Andrew escorted us to a shopping area that would meet our needs and provided detailed information on how to get back to our hotel. Sydney is a beautiful city and with the right tour company you can truly make the most of your visit. This IS the company you want to tour with.

We selected Runaway Tours because their advertising said we could customize our tour to fit our needs so with some skepticism we booked the tour hoping to arrange it that way. We were a group of ten adults who wanted to be picked up at the cruise ship dock along with our luggage, spend the day seeing the central business district sights and at the end of the day we needed to be dropped off in two separate locations. Thru email conversations with the owners Mandy and Stephen at Runaway Tours we had all of our needs and concerns met and exceeded. The tour was great, seeing exactly what we wanted to see and basically dictating how long we would be at each venue. We toured the Sydney Opera House amazing, Mrs. Macquarie's Chair fabulous views, the Botanical Gardens beautiful plants and flowers, St Mary's Cathedral great architecture inside and out, Paddy's Market shopping and lunch, the Sydney Harbor Bridge amazing structure, and the Rocks great history lesson. Our tour guide Essey, thou not being born in Australia, has a deep love and appreciation of her adopted city of Sydney, was extremely well informed, humorous, light hearted and accommodated all of our needs and requests. This was truly a custom tour with our group of ten, a trailer in tow for our luggage, and we were able to make the best of the time we had to see the sights. We would highly recommend this tour company to anyone looking to self-customize their tour after our conversations with Essey we are positive that Runaway Tours would also give the same time and energies to their prepackaged tours. We are looking forward to returning to Sydney and touring again with Essey and Runaway Tours!

Notre guide était agréable, patiente et nous avons partagé un bon moment. Cependant, ça reste trop limité en terme de parcours et de découverte. Le tour te ramène 10 fois aux mêmes choses. Et au final quand on y passe quelques jours sur place, on réalise qu'il y avait encore pas mal à découvrir et que si on avait chercher par soi-même, avec la visite guidée seule, on aurait pas su l'existence de certaines choses.

Votre guide, Radmila, a déclaré que vous aviez un temps magnifique, un merveilleux déjeuner de 2 heures à Manly Beach et que vous avez vu des sites étonnants le long du chemin. Comme la plupart des visites de villes, nos guides ont tendance à présenter le port de Sydney, car c’est vraiment ce qui fait la particularité de Sydney, en particulier lors d’une belle journée en plein hiver! Nous sommes donc certains que vous avez vu le port sous différents angles. Il y a de nombreuses autres attractions telles que la tour de Sydney, Madame Tussauds et l'aquarium de Sydney qu'il vaut mieux visiter sans avoir besoin d'un guide privé.
