The biggest benefit and reason why you should book the private driver is that you will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel. Tokyo is a massive city and waking up early in the morning to catch a couple of trains is not how you want to start your long day at Mount Fuji. We walked downstairs and Haider, our driver, was there right on time. He was very friendly. Stopped at a convenience store along the way so we can get water and food. We got to do the ropeway as well. And at the end when we’re exhausted from the fun day, we slept in the car on the way back, woke up and we were at our hotel. Perfect. Would definitely recommend. The quickest and easiest way to go see Mount Fuji.

We had such a great time on this trip. Amit our guide and driver was so pleasant to be around with. We had a 6 and 3 yo with us. And he was very patient especially when my 3yo was throwing tantrums. A private tour is a must if you have very young kids with you. The ease of making changes or emergency potty stops was helpful. Seeing mt fuji from different sites was an exhiliarating experience. Amazing experience to see so many places pretty much at your own pace while your private driver takes you to them. There is NO way you can do this on your own with public transportation or even renting a car if you are not familiar with the areas in Japan. Our driver Colleen was polite, very attentive and a pleasure to talk to. We greatly enjoyed Oshino Hakkai, Arakuyama Sengen Shrine, Kawaguchiko Lake (delicious lunch) Lake Saiko and the old traditional village of Iyashi No Sato where it felt like we stepped on a Time Machine and went back to ancient Japan. We were able to customize our tour’s pick up and be left at another point in the Yamanaka lake and not back in Tokyo as we continued the next day to Kyoto. The whole family loved this experience as once again we did it at our own pace while our friendly driver kept us on schedule. Thank you Collen.

The Most Convinience Way to Experience Fuji in Japan

I’ve booked the trip via viator and they had connected me with another local provider called dokotrip. The driver was foreigner stayed in Japan. The selection of places to go were flexible. The driver’s was very good in keeping the timing, but the driving style may be improved. Overall, the experience is good for first timer to Japan

Very happy with the trip. It is worth it. Because it covers 4 to 5 scenery spots. The driver Tajamal is very friendly and knowledgeable. Mount Fuji is a must see. The trip was good and we enjoyed our tour guide Mr. Dharmesh. He was very knowledgeable and punctual. I would definitely recommend him if you going with family or in group. We paid for 7 seater alphard van but was on Nissan x-trail. That will be the only cons. We paid almost USD500 for family of 3 because it was highlighted as alphard. We were little disappointed.

This was a fabulous day for our family! We got to see the best views of this amazing place. Although it was drizzling on the day we arrived in Tokyo, we were able to see the perfect views of Mt Fuji from the shrine and the Japanese village. The driver provided us with very accurate information. We caught the best part of Mt Fuji with many beautiful pictures. The driver was super experienced and knowledgeable and it was very comfortable vehicle! The food and snacks in the village were fantastic! Other than the stops, you actually can see Mt Fuji from many different angles on the roads, which was a bonus! I highly recommend this tour and want to come back to visit again! Thank you!
