What a day! Gaku, our guide was friendly, caring and very knowledgable. He went out of his way to make me feel safe and comfortable as we navigated the city. Thank you for an awesome experience Gaku!
Best Cycling Tour in Town , Hands down
abhinav_r, Feb 2023
This is the best way to see Tokyo and Gaku was an amazing guide. We cycle almost an entire day covering over 30 Km with plenty of stops . It was really fun.
this was my favorite tour...

Efficient Way to Cover Tokyo
Ron_O, Jan 2023
Excellent! It was just Gaku-san and myself since another couple canceled. It’s great that he’ll still do the tour even for just one person. We were able to move fast so I felt like we could cover even more, but if your group is not moving as quickly your day will be jam packed. The tour is a good blend of typical sites plus other areas a tourist wouldn’t normally see. Lunch from the grocery store is a great idea so you can experience what is typical for locals. If you are not used to biking on the street or on the left side of the road, I can see how the traffic could be nerve-racking. Don’t let this deter you from booking this tour. Gaku-san will make sure nothing bad happens to you and he tries to take the sidewalk wherever possible. His English is perfect - better than some back at home! This is a great way to quickly see a large area of Tokyo. If you’re in your feet and on the trains you wouldn’t be able to see as much in the same time.
Best Biking Tokyo Experience
Garrett_L, Jan 2023
I loved biking with Gaiku, my favorite part of the experience was learning about all the shrines and temples and eating sushi
An intimate glimpse of Tokyo for the first-time visitor
Prasad_G, Dec 2022
This biking tour offered me the most-intimate possible glimpse of Tokyo as we breezed through many alleys and traffic-heavy roads alike. Our guide, Gaku, was knowledgeable and spoke good English. The fact that we were a small group of 3 people helped too. We had ample time to explore the stops and click pictures. Highly recommended for those comfortable riding bikes on busy roads.
best Tokyo overview tour ever
Boris_A, Dec 2022
Gaki, our tour guide, was excellent. We biked for about 20 miles all around Tokyo, with just a perfect time spend in every location. Gaki is knowledgeable, funny, and considerate and took us to a very nice place for lunch which we ate at the riverbank. It was raining for the first half of the tour, but we really enjoyed ourselves. He also takes great pictures!
Great biking trip with Gaku
Bei_F, Dec 2022
Gaku is a great tour guide and fun to travel with. He explains each place well and willing to go out of his way to help. Before the trip, he sent a very clear instruction which helped us to locate the meeting Place easily. And as my son got sick and couldn’t make it, Gaku was happy to find him another day to make it up. Overall the experience was wonderful!
Thrilling and spontaneous
ana_r, Dec 2022
BEST thing I’ve BOUGHT since arriving to Japan. I was sad when it ended because I had A GREAT TIME and my tour group all felt like a lil family to me. Hands down amazing views, lots of culture, history, and good views through the trip. Gaku was a confident and great lead, very trustworthy and looks out for your best interest. Very professional, I’d do it all again. Coming from a solo traveler in such a large city, you’ll breakout of your comfort zone with this tour.
Awesome Tour.
David_G, Dec 2022
Gaku the tour guide was incredible. He provided a tour that was very well planned to show you different parts of the city. He explained a lot of the history and context to some of the sights we were exploring and welcomed questions. He was very thoughtful and friendly. I would highly recommend this trip.
Gaku, our guide, got us...
christine_e, Nov 2022
Gaku, our guide, got us round more sites that I imagined, cheerily, safely and with interesting explanations. Far better than I even hoped.
Quite possibly the best setup tourist bike I have ever ridden in a magical mega city.
francisprieto, Nov 2022
Gaku is an awesome tour guide and truly is a cyclist. I was fortunate enough to be the only person who showed as the other 4 people cancelled. This meant I got a private tour. It included all the hot spots and some hidden gems. During the tour, I realized was how small Tokyo actually is and the bicycle may be the best way to explore when the weather is good. And the weather was perfect on my tour. I try to go on a bike tour in every city I am lucky enough to visit and I have to say that without a doubt, my bicycle was setup perfectly. As a cyclist myself, I really appreciate that the wheels were true, the shifting perfect and brakes not sloppy. Gaku also provide wonderful insight of the city and great conversation. We kept up a good pace and I'm so glad I the bikes were regular and not electric as I got a good workout.
Best day in Tokyo yet!
David_C, Nov 2022
Gako was a great guide! Always engaging and focused on making sure we have a great and safe ride. We saw a number of small places and experiences we would never have found as normal tourists... If you like cycling it is the BEST way to experience Tokyo. The route is mostly flat with lots of breaks so the 20 miles was very approachable. One note is it definitely helps to have some comfort riding in traffic, but Tokyo drivers seemed very respectful of giving bikes space.
Educational and fun tour. Highly recommend!
Makenna_M, Oct 2022
The tour was excellent from start to finish. We enjoyed every minute. Gaku was an experienced guide, leading us through the streets of central Tokyo and showing us all the major points of interest. He answered all of our questions and ensured we were safe and happy the entire time. We learned so much! We also feel better equipped for the rest of our trip bc he advised which activities were worth our time and which were skippable. It’s so helpful to have those insider insights. He even sent us all the photos he took the very same day! We could not have been happier with our chosen tour. Note, it’s quite a long bike ride and recommend being in decent physical shape before signing up. I was pretty sore the next day but it was still so fun and I’d do it again in a minute!
Best possible way to get oriented to Tokyo
John_A, Sept 2022
This is a fantastic way to see a lot of Toyko in a short period of time. Gaku was a phenomenal tour guide! He is so friendly and fun, and he even customized the stops along the tour based on my specific interests in architecture and Studio Ghibli. If you are considering this tour - definitely do it!
A must do Tour
Erin_K, Jan 2020
Gaku-san’s bicycle tour is a wonderful experience, to say the least. A brilliant way to witness just how grand Tokyo is. We saw a ton of the city first hand, and learned a great deal from our friendly host. The biking itself wasn’t even that tiring, as we made stops frequently enough to catch our breath. Gaku-San was very knowledgeable about the different areas of the city, and speaks very good English. We got to see areas of the city we never would have been able to otherwise and got to learn about life in Tokyo from a local’s perspective. The experience was more than worth the cost of admission. This was the first tour we took after getting to Tokyo and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. Gaku-san, thank you again for showing us around the city!
Great Experience! Highly Recommend!
Moudy_E, Dec 2019
1. Bikes were very good and working order. Mine had disc brakes and was a comfortable ride. 2. Gaku was a such a great guy and an excellent tour guide. 3. Instructions were clear and great. You will have a wonderful time with Gaku. We got to see Mt. Fuji from the lookout. It was a very special moment that I won't forget.
See Tokyo in a whole new way!
Roger R, Nov 2019
Gaku was an amazing guide who gave us the support and confidence to get through even the most challenging traffic. The route took us around all of the key areas of the city and gave us an incredible vantage point that a bus or walking tour couldn't come close to in terms of coverage and details. Riding to Tokyo bay and having a picnic lunch was one of the highlights. Thanks Gaku for a great and memorable tour of Tokyo!
Excellent Overview of Tokyo with Gaku!
Nairi_N, Oct 2019
From start to finish, Gaku was an excellent guide. When we booked, he sent us detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to get to the meeting place - which was reassuring for us having no prior experience in Japan. When we met him, we were greeted with a big smile. We asked him for restaurant recommendations and he was quick to pull a few up on his phone (and they were amazing by the way!). The tour itself was 6.5 hours and yes about 20 miles but it was broken up well enough that it didn't feel tiring at any point. We are NOT avid cyclists so rest assured you can do it too! We felt safe on the pathways and streets. Gaku took pictures of us, answered questions, was very patient when we went to the supermarket and bought the entire store which he then carried in his own backpack until we reached our eating spot at Tokyo Bay! After the tour, Gaku went out of his way to help us purchase our Pasmo/Suica cards that we used for the rest of our trip. He later followed up with a link to the photos he had taken of us throughout the day. Overall this tour was exactly as described, worth every penny, and was a great introduction on our first day in Tokyo. Highly recommend!! Thank you Gaku!!
