Half Day Tokyo and Trains

We had a wonderful half day Tokyo tour with Fumiko who led us on both subway and elevated trains all across the city. Without her we would have been miserably lost. Her enthusiasm was contagious and she related much of Tokyo's history for us. We viewed the Sensoji Temple and adjacent Shinto shrine from the 8th floor of a nearby building, then joined the throngs of visitors on the Temple pathway lined with shops of all kinds. After a lovely walk along the river, she also took us to the Shibuya scramble crossing - the busiest in Tokyo. It was a memorable afternoon!

Not a good experience. Guide rushed us and did not wait for us. At one point he disappeared and at another point he left us to fend for ourselves when we had trouble with subway turnstile. Did not seem knowledgeable

Excellent walking tour

Great Tour with Sachi!

My wife and I had a wonderful half-day tour with Sachi. She met us at our hotel, showed us sights based on our preferences and interests, and even brought us to a delicious tempura restaurant that we never would have found without her. Sachi took the time to show us how to use public transportation, answered our questions about local etiquette and customs, and, overall, showed us a good time while helping to get us settled in Japan. During the remainder of our trip, we caught ourselves repeatedly saying "I miss Sachi!" Highly recommend!

Personalized unforgettable experience If you’re looking for a phenomenal guide Andy is the best! We booked a private walking tour of Tokyo. Our guide, Andy, contacted us via WhatsApp and asked what we would like to see. We sent him a list of sights and activities and he fine tuned an amazing itinerary for a half day tour. Andy met us at our hotel on time. We used the subway and JR pass to get around Tokyo. We definitely would not be able to navigate the subway system without him! He was well-prepared for our tour with his vast knowledge of the sights, traditions, culture, and history of Japan. The routes he took included several unique sights that we would have missed if going on our own. He was patient and flexible when we wanted to stop for photos or to shop. Andy is very friendly and fun plus he speaks English easily so we had great conversations. He is also an interesting person having had a full career prior to becoming Tour Guide. His passion for offering an authentic and enjoyable tour was apparent in how he tailored an entire experience unique to our interests. We left Andy feeling like we had a new friend in Japan! After 2 weeks in Japan, our day with Andy was one of the most memorable highlights of our trip.

Maya took us to areas of Tokyo tourists usually do not visit. Rode the metro and had lunch at a wonderful restaurant. She picked us up at our hotel. Our tour guide, Bruce Sugano was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. He was also so kind and patient. This tour was the perfect way to start off our adventures in Tokyo. Our flight was late, resulting in us arriving at our meeting point an hour later. Bruce was so accomodating and was able to kindly delay the start of our tour. When we met him, he was so cheerful and immediately made us feel very welcome. Bruce had mapped out a perfect itinerary based on what I had said that we were keen to do and see. We didn't feel rushed and Bruce made sure that we were all happy and comfortable. He was so great with our children, aged 9 and 5 too! Not only did we do and see everything on our wish list, Bruce was so wonderful and helped us find the location of the office to collect our tickets for a different tour later on the week and helped us purchase Suica passes. This took so much stress off our chest and saved us time. Thank you so much Bruce for an excellent introduction to Tokyo and Japan.

Great personal tour on our 1st day in Tokyo

Great 1st day in Tokyo tour! Our guide Kenji contacted us via email 2 weeks prior to our arrival and we told him about our specific goals for the 1/2 day tour. He met us at our Hotel in Shinjuku. Walked us to the closest neighborhood metro station and helped us load Yen credits onto our Suica cards. He instructed us as we travelled on how to navigate the metro. We visited several neighborhoods (Harajuku and Akakusa). We spent more than the allotted 4hrs with him, but he still escorted us back to Shinjuku station and then lead us out of the enormous and very busy station to some shops nearby the Godzilla Head. From there we were able to easily walk back to our hotel. The next few days we felt comfortable exploring other areas on our own which was the goal.

Steve was a wonderful guide. Prior to the trip, he reached out to understand our site seeing priorities. We had a wonderful half day tour to the Meiji shrine and Harajuku. We never felt rushed, and Steve also assisted us with the logistics surrounding our IC pass and our side trip to Hakone. A bonus is that he is also a sake sommelier! We bought a bottle of sake based on his recommendation and it was the best sake we ever had!
