What To Expect
Your aerial adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel and a transfer by 4x4 to the launch site, where you’ll have chance to watch the balloon being inflated. After a safety briefing, hop aboard and hold on tight as you take off and float up high into the sky.
Look down over the rolling hills of the Loire Valley as you soar overhead and snap photos of the patchwork of vineyards, orchards and forests, stretching along the banks of the Loire River. While in the air, listen to your pilot’s commentary as you fly over the over the Loire, Indre or Cher Valleys, then swoop over magnificent châteaux like Villandry, Amboise or Chenonceau, and watch the sunrise or sunset over the Loire.
As you come in to land, a glass of champagne and a personalized flight certificate will be waiting for you. After celebrating your safe landing with a toast, hop back in the 4x4 and end your tour with a drop-off at your hotel.

Absolutely wild experience!
Pickup was seamless. We traveled over to Chenonceau due to wind speed and had the best trip over the chateau. The guide was very friendly (all staff were). They spoke mostly in French but were happy to answer questions in English (and we were the only Americans). One of the best experiences of my life.
Things to know:
- you need to get in an out of a 3 foot high basket
- you’ll ride with others in compartments (I believe we had 11 people)
- it’s not a sensation that makes you motion sick, but liftoff does give you a bit of a jolt in your tummy!
- you need to be able to squat down for the landing
- you help roll up the balloon and put it away at the end (that was not easy work!) but you can sit out if it’s hard for you

It was a beautiful ride. - Until it ended. Being part of the recovery crew and packing up the ballon was not what I was expecting. No fun. Sorry, at 70 not my job. Add a couple more $ and hire more crew.

The trip was cancelled I assume due to high winds and possible rain. Unfortunately I was unable to reschedule since I had to cut my trip short unexpectedly. They refunded right away without resistance. I will use them again in the future for another try at an incredible hot air balloon ride somewhere....someday!

Terrific Balloon ride. Experienced pilot with a smooth take off and a firm landing. The entire ride was beautiful. Everything worked on time like clockwork. The entire crew had a very friendly and cheerful disposition that made the experience memorable. We saw a wonderful view of the Loire valley from as high as 1500 meters.
