What To Expect

Discover subterranean landscapes that are part of the world’s third-longest underground river system on this half-day tour from Playa del Carmen. Enjoy an exhilarating swim as you explore a cenote, an underground pool of crystal-clear water. On the Yucatan Peninsula, rainwater seeps through porous limestone rock into cenotes and underground rivers in search of an outlet to the sea. As each drop falls into caverns, stunning rock formations are created.

Continue to Yal Ku, a lagoon where the warm waters from the sea combine with fresh water from underground rivers, creating a special snorkeling environment. Caves and valleys are part of your underwater scenery. Located in a protected cove, the lagoon is a great place for beginning snorkelers and the more experienced alike.

When you’re done with snorkeling, walk about the manicured pathways surrounding the lagoon. Your tour includes hotel pickup and drop-off from select locations.

Literally a Magical Cenote experience!
Ronya_A, Mar 2023
This was such a great experience and I highly recommend. Rene (the most handsomest of all your guides ha-ha) was incredible and so knowledgeable. The driver was also great and very safe when driving! The cenotes that Rene took us too we’re both so amazing. The first one with the fishes was incredible, and the second of the underground/cave one was breathtaking! This was worth it!

Cenote was very short, I have been on better. The road going to was very long and bumpy. Our guild was excellent and made the adventure.
Great Experience!!!

Started the tour at Paradise Lagoon snorkeling. The protected area is a great spot to see the mixing of salt water & fresh water. Plenty of incredible tropical fish. Next, we drove to the magical cenote and the drive down the dirt road is pretty treacherous. The driver did a great job, but prepare for a bumpy ride. The cenote is incredible when you venture down. The cenote is definitely something you don't experience everyday. The only cons; 1. The water is a bit chilly and at times very deep. 2. The overall cenote experience is pretty short (however, with the chill of the water it might be a good thing). The pick up and drop off was good. Depending on your location it will be a lot of driving, but definitely nice to be picked/dropped at your resort.
Very unique experience

This tour was great. We had Joseph as a guide who was fantastic. Very funny and knowledgeable. The lagoon is nice but the cenote is amazing. You get a long time to swim in both which makes it feel very worth the money. Definitely worth seeing.

The cenote was a rare find, super cool and interesting to hear about the science behind it. Our tour guide, Ivan, was awesome!

We had a great time. We did not get our photos. How can we get them. We paid for them. Great adventure.
Loved it!

The Cenote was very cool!! The snorkeling in the lagoon was also very nice, but the cenote was for sure the highlight. Alexa was our guide and she was personable and easy going. A few things to note that I overlooked.. you should bring a towel. I for some reason thought that they would provide but they dont. Also, they do provide you with a small snack between the activities which I didnt see advertised but was happy that it was given for sure. It was a very nice half day excursion and I would highly reccomend.
