Private transportation with Gypso Travel is the way to go!

Elina communicated very well prior to our trip. My only difficulty was that I couldn’t access the wifi in the Cancun airport. Luckily my Verizon plan included phone and text in Mexico, so I switched to data instead of wifi to communicate via text and WhatsApp. But obviously this was a problem on my end, not on Gypso Travel’s end. Mr Tavo was waiting outside Margaritaville as discussed. He took us to our driver Freddie who was very personable. My family and I were the only passengers in a sizable van with great air conditioning. I do wish there were shoulder belts as well as lap belts. Freddie helped us with a quick stop to pick up bottled water, then we were on our way again. I’m confident that our return trip to the airport will be as smooth as the incoming trip. Gypso Travel took the stress out of this part of our vacation! I highly recommend getting this service for personal care and direct transportation to your destination. Thank you all!

Wonderful Experience

Traveling alone and the entire experience could not have been easier. There is a huge crush of tour operators and transport drivers directly outside the airport and my driver was running a few minutes late due to traffic. There was still someone waiting with my name exactly where they said they would be to explain what happened and that my driver Felipe would be there soon. Felipe arrived a few minutes later in acomfortable air conditioned van and we were immediately on our way. He stopped at a casa de cambia for me to change money which had a much better exchange rate than at the airport. He was kind and friendly, the exact welcome you hope for when traveling somewhere new.

We booked this transportation service and were very happy with the service. More reasonable price than others. The company was very professional and really good at communicating and confirming the times and location for pick up. Great that we could use whatsApp for texting the company since our hotel had poor cell service (and I did not bring my laptop to email them). They were flexible with the time for pick up and were able to adjust for us. The drivers were on time for pick up and it was nice that Elina texted us over WhatsApp to let us know the driver was at the airport. They had a sign at the agreed upon location at the airport. The drivers were very courteous. Thanks Mario! Thanks Fernando! We really appreciated that Fernando stopped for us to try some fruit from a stand we passed - so yummy! And bathroom stop too. Thanks you were a really great company for the entire experience start to finish!- we appreciate that - less stress for our vacation- we saw some reviews of other companies -(with late pickup and no shows)and were glad we chose this company.

I always heard that finding or getting transportation in Mexico was so frustrating and overwhelming but This private service gave my boyfriend and I so much ease on your trip. Elina was amazing, communicated every detail from a photo of our driver to scheduling our trips perfectly on time to make our flights...She was very professional from beginning to end and always made sure that we were good with everything. We had about a two hour ride there and back, each driver were beyond nice and got us to our destinations safely. I would highly recommend this service. 10/10

Communication was excellent throughout! Filipe was an amazing driver during pickup! The drive to our hotel was about 75 minutes and he stopped so we can buy tacos and drinks along the way. On the way back to the airport, Fernando got us to the airport quickly and safely. The entire team took the stress off the ground transportation portion for our vacation and we will be using them again next time.

Had an amazing trip with Felipe. We had a long ride from Cancun to Tulum, our driver allowed us to stop for at a bathroom and gets snacks. Tip: make sure you know your driver’s name. We had trouble finding Felipe in a sea of people. Highly recommend.

All the instructions were easy to follow for our pick up. Our driver was Mr. Felipe, he was very nice even taught us some Spanish along the way I definitely recommend for anyone making a trip to Tulum from the airport. It is a fairly long drive (expect 2-3 hours).

Elina and Freddy were amazing! We had some challenges when we arrived to Cancun (our host in Tulum was not responsive and location could not be found) but Freddy made sure he stayed with us the whole time (4 hours while we decided what to do next) and made sure we were ok, in which he did not have to do stating he has young daughters our age and would feel responsible if he had left us. Though we were anxious and afraid, Freddy made sure he kept us laughing and in positive spirits: Elina was very helpful in our situation providing us with solutions and assuring us that we can contact her if we need further assistance, even after drop off. She did not charge us for the ride back to Cancun from Tulum and time wasted. They were truly angels!
