Our tour consisted of a all day outing in Ubud. Our driver Mudana was excellent. He has over 15 hrs experience driving and doing tours and was very knowledgeable on Bali and Indonesia past times and culture.

Our guide-driver is called Mudana. A very friendly person, super save driver (in this very chaotic traffic) and well english speaking guide. He knows a lot about the history and places we visited and also shows you the less touristic (so more beautifull, quiet) places where you can experience Bali on it’s best. So thank you Mudana for spending a day with you. For us it was a lifetime experience!!

Excellent Day Out

It was a fantastic day with Rudi our host and driver. Nothing was too much trouble. The day was dictated by what we wanted to do and see. Rudi just advised on the best order in which to do them. We visited and swam in the pool by a waterfall, went to a couple of temples, saw a rice terrace. A very nice scenic spot for lunch in between these. We finished the trip with a visit to a craft shop, at our request. We did everything and more of what we wanted. If we were staying longer we would want to have him show us around again.

Enjoyed 2 days sightseeing in Bali. Given it was a trip with family, Design-your-own-tour gave us the flexibility to pick and worked with us helping us cover the common sight seeing places in Bali. Our guide Raka was very resourceful, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. Added 2 extra family members to the tour the 2nd day and the company accommodated our request. Ok if you just need a driver

If you just need a driver, then this service should be fine. However, be aware of the tour guide because our guide (Sudi) kept the change for our entrance fees. We were at the counter and I took out money to give the cashier. The guide took the money from my hand to give to the cashier (which was totally unnecessary). It was really awkward and we didn’t want to confront him but my husband and I were shocked when he quickly shoved the 50k IDR change into his pocket in front of us (double the entrance fee for two people). We decided that if he needed the money that badly to do that, then we would just let it go.

We were looking for a tour guide to take us to see the most important landmarks and temples to us during our two day visit to Bali. Agus Esa Putra, with Bali 4U Tours, was extremely helpful in coming up with start times and the order of our planned sites over the two days, so that it could happen the way we envisioned it. The guide and driver assigned to us, Gede Chris, was an excellent English speaker, very clear and easy to understand. He was a great driver...we never felt like he was speeding or lane hopping. He was willing to share information about the Balinese culture and make recommendations that would make the tour work better for us. He is patient and very professional. One thing to be aware of, driving times are very long to most sites. Traffic is heavy, there are parades, funerals, rush hour...all of these things can make the journey very long and is probably the reason some tours take up to 10-12 hours. We were traveling during March, the tail end of the rainy season, and we lucked out regarding weather. It was very hot and muggy but no rain. We truly debated about going to Tanah Lot Temple...fearful of rain, not seeing it during low-tide, the lack of sunset due to the cloudy conditions. We went anyway and I am very glad we did. This temple setting is stunning and hopefully worth the drive time to you if you decide to see it. We were a group of 65+ adults and Chris was aware of our needs and adjusted the tour to accommodate us.

We booked a private design your own tour because our hotel was out of the main tourist area. Our driver/guide Darma was excellent! Very careful driver, kind and considerate. He took us everywhere we wanted and give us tips how to avoid long queues for the different places. He made lots of suggestions how to save time and what is the best way to travel and took lots of photos. He used every minute to show us as much as possible. We admire his drive for knowledge and service!
