Such an exciting tour! Our guide Agung was friendly and helpful, and a great photographer to boot! We visited the coffee plantation, the sacred monkey forest, Tirta Empul, Goa Gajah, the rice fields and Tegenungan waterfall all in one day, plus an extra stop for lunch at a delicious restaurant with a variety of both local Balinese and western cuisine to try. Very happily tired afterwards. Thanks so much :-)

Loved Ubud - but we learned nothing from our driver

While we loved everything that we did and saw on our trip to Ubud, we really just got a driver for the day and not a tour. We also had signed up for the custom option and our driver was not aware and just listed the things we would see. We had really hoped to collaborate with our driver to create a plan for the day that would be a unique experience. While our driver was a nice young man and a very good driver - he was just a Driver. He provided very little information about any place we went to and his English was very limited too. We had hoped to learn more while seeing the area with our tour guide. After reading all the other reviews where everyone bragged about their drivers and how informative and helpful they were, it makes me even more disappointed with our experience.

On this excellent tour, we not only enjoyed a great driver-guide but gained a helpful advisor on other matters during our subsequent days. Yoga met us on time and met our priorities the entire tour of Ubud. We are active travelers but in our mid-70s, and Yoga was very mindful of stops posing hundreds of stairs as well as others that repeated earlier tour experiences. He always had an attractive alternative stop to complete a full 10-hour day of unique and appreciated experiences. We took the "custom private tour" option that served our interests well. The tour and Yoga share our 5-star review.

Bali is a wondrous island. It’s Hindu culture is evident everywhere in its many beautiful religious icons and architecture. Our guide, Dukgus, arrived on time at our hotel in a comfortable car. The air conditioning was a great respite from the heat and humidity of Bali. We loved our walk through the Monkey Forest and enjoyed observing the monkeys up close. The rainforest is beautiful and the monkeys were fascinating. The part of the tour we loved the most was the visit to Tirta Empurl, a very spiritual and beautiful temple. Dukgus told us of its story, which added to the experience. We ended the day at artisan villages where the lovely and unique art work of Balinese craftsman and artists was on display. It was a great contrast to the countless numbers of street shops selling souvenirs and cheap replicas of the real thing. We loved it and engaged in interesting conversations with some of the artists. Dukgus also responded to our food requests and found two good restaurants for us during the day. The one where we had dinner was situated west and we also enjoyed a magnificent Bali sunset as we ate.. Dukgus dropped us off at our hotel after a wonderful 10 hour long tour.

Our driver, Dewar, was great. Knowledgeable with regards to local customs and religion and spoke English very well. We had a wet day where one of the stops was closed but Dewar was happy to wait on the off chance it may have opened before the day was over - so very relaxed. Booking this tour was the best decision we ever made. We had one day in Bali. Weather predicted thunderstorms, and it did rain. We created plan A if the sun shined and plan B if it rained. Our driver, Mr. Derai worked with us to get the most out of the sunshine time we had. And when it rained he helped make sure we enjoyed places that’s were undercover Would do this again!!!

The trip was quite good. Of these Tegenungan waterfall and the Monkey forest singles out. It is advisable to spend more time in these areas. The rice fields and Gaya Gaja temple are worth having a look. Our Driver Mr. Made Kepo deserves special mention. He was very caring, good natured and helpful person. It was a pleasure to be with him. The entire programme was hassle free.
