This was an amazing tour- perhaps one of the best I’ve ever done. Carolina brought the palace to life and was the perfect mix of entertaining, informative, and engaged. It is clear she had a command of the history of the place. My only feedback for the tour more broadly is I would love a more detailed overview of what we should see in the garden. The best part of the tour - skipping the line to the palace. The disappointing parts - there is no reason to meet in Paris since we rode the train there. Half of the train tickets the guide distributed didn’t work. The guide offered no narrative in the train. In the palace, it was informative. The guide offered no guidance to the gardens, no mention of Marie Antoinette house - it felt like he couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Versailles is very beautiful. The tour was good however we did not have enough time to tour the grounds or Marie Antoinette’s private house because it closed at 6pm and the tour guide did not finish until 5:10pm with the castle. Our tour started at 2pm. Her house is a ways from the castle and it was taking a very long time to get a golf cart so we decided to walk which took almost a half hour. I would suggest that the tour be done only in the mornings so you have the rest of the day to walk the grounds and see everything otherwise it’s not worth doing this tour in my opinion. Just go on your own.

Bus tour to Versailles with no bus…

I purchased this tour one month in advance and paid it in full. The main reason I booked this tour was because they were going to drive us to the door with a very nice bus. This way we wouldn’t have to do extra walking. All you do is walk in Versailles for hours, if you can avoid extra walking by booking a bus, it is worth it. Anyway, they cancelled my reservation a few days before the trip and offered to change the date. I agreed to this. But then the day of the tour, surprise, there was no bus and we had to ride with the train and go up and down stairs, then walked to the palace, etc. After the visit my feet and legs were hurting, but I still had to walk back to the train station and again upstairs, downstairs, etc, not cool. Agent who made the reservation was nice and changed the date fast, but never mentioned that the bus was not available anymore. I didn’t like this unpleasant surprise. If agent would have told me, then I would have cancelled this reservation and make a new one with a bus. Some of us have health problems or are elderly and need a bus. It’s important these changes are discussed with customers. I feel deceived by this tour company. Don’t plan on traveling with them anymore. I paid for a tour with a bus, didn’t get one. They didn’t offered a refund or to lower the price since bus was not available anymore either. They decided for me that I didn’t need a bus. Rude. Tour guide was the only highlight of this tour. She was very nice, well mannered, professional and I really enjoyed all her stories. If it wasn’t for her, the tour would have been a complete failure.

We had a wonderful time with our guide through the Palace and into the entrance of the gardens. It was very helpful to have the guide assist us with the Metro transportation on the way to the Versailles and enter as a group instead of waiting on line as individuals. He was thorough and efficient with going through the rooms on the main floor. It would have been nice to have a chance to stay in the palace longer on our own before exiting as a group to end the tour and go into the gardens on our own. We were very happy with the tour and our guide, it was a great experience.

Palace is very big and gorgeous. I am very happy we have chosen to go with guide, as to walk alone for sure would be nice but no so super as with a guide. All was good arrange, big group was split to smaller groups with 15 people with own guide. Our guide Alexandra told us a lot of stories, showed most important places inside and explained all about gardens.
