Just the information said that this trip would allow you time to eat at Mount Vernon and instead back in the van to go at 3 PM. Also was told there would be a ride from the water back up to the hill, waited 40 minutes and no ride came, then friend had an episode of atrial fibrillation walking up that hill.

Excellent tour that also includes historic Alexandria. Our guide was very well informed about the architecture and history of Mt Vernon. There is a very moving memorial to the slaves. Staff readily answer questions about how work was done on the farm. I recommend taking this tour.

I reached out before the meeting time and told the tour operator that my family and I were already at Mt Vernon and I need to know when and where the tour group was going to get to Mt Vernon and I never got a reply back. I couldn’t call my tour operator because I didn’t have their phone number (only text through the Viator app) and so my family waited about an hour before having to just buy new tickets so we could go in. So we wasted a couple hundred dollars and time on a tour that we weren’t given.

Firstly guide Robert was great - very knowledgeable. The drive down and back was a little bumpy but went through some lovely areas. Mount Vernon was stunning. Historic house knowledgable guides. The grounds are beautiful. The museum was brilliant. Nice food court and a very nice gift shop. Only wish we could have had longer.

This was a quick drive from the city to Mt Vernon! We heard about the history on the way and then had plenty of time to explore the property at a leisurely pace. It was rainy the day we visited but we were still able to see everything. I learned many things that I did not know.
