Go to Mount Vernon

Thank you for the experience. The trip was great would love to go back and spend some time in Alexandria for some more shopping and soak in some more of the things our founding fathers did their.
Mount Vernon

Audio enhancements made peripheral bildings come to life. View of the Potomac is awesome. Washington was a very complex man.
Worth it!

Fantastic trip. I cannot stress enough the importance of booking some of these DC spots in advance. We walked past many people that had driven to Mr. Vernon only to be told that tickets to get into the house itself were sold out for the day. It’s such a great feeling to know the transportation and tickets are covered and you get a bit of history on the drive to and from as well. This was probably one of our favorite parts of our DC trip. Highly recommend!

Mount Vernon was great but we could have stopped in Alexandria instead of driving though. Very knowledgeable driver.
Loved this Tour!
Ryan_T, May 2023
The tour was super nice and very educational! My two daughters and I really had a nice time at Mount Vernon. We can understand why George Washington wanted to be there all the time. The grounds and views are so beautiful!

Very good trip. Guide and driver was pleasant, organized, informative, and enthusiastic. He clearly knows his stuff and enjoys leading tours.
Worst bus tour
Melissa_B, May 2023
Mount Vernon itself was amazing and I would highly recommend going there. Although do not use this tour, the bus was late and it was so bumpy literally people kept bouncing off of their seats. Also, the guide talked so mono toned it was hard to pay attention, in fact at least two people fell asleep.
Horrible Tour/Guide
Vincent_M, May 2023
All this tour turned out to be was transportation. Junkie van. Bobby the driver spent the time with trivia jokes that had nothing to do with Mount Vernon. He also made it clear he was a democrat and made uncalled for comments about Trump. He also spent time talking to the injured soldier and his wife about disability benefits etc SOOO out of line for a guide. Don’t ever book through Viator
Nice visit

Sally_G, Apr 2023
Our time here was curtailed by 1 hour & rushed at the end due to a money raising function. It meant on a v hot day we had v little time to get any for refreshment. Otherwise a very interesting place to visit with a good view up river
Loved mansion tour
Martha_T, Apr 2023
We loved tour of mansion and learning about the many innovations attributed to GW! The 2-story 16-sided threshing barn was fascinating!
