MAJE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW TO STOP THIS MACHINE!

I did not feel safe driving around with lots and lots of people and cars all around us. It could have been a lot of fun if the streets looked like those photos! Be sure to get a THOROUGH lesson before you get on! There is a trick to stopping and they go over that very briefly before leaving for the tour. My husband fell over because he couldn’t stop and we were entering a very busy intersection. He crashed directly into me, knocking me over, and he landed only a Couple feet from cars zooming by! The tour guide was very nice, but I cannot stress enough.. make certain you completely understand how this thing stops! Bending backward from the waist up will NOT stop you - quite the contrary! You must bend from the feet up (stiffen your legs and lift your toes if it helps - that’s what helped me) they do not explain this. They were rushed to get us out there before the next group was ready to go. Not a great experience for us

Book directly through Capital. Working with victor was a complete hassle that requires multiple phone calls. The didn’t even provide the address…we had to dig for it. Ridiculous. The tour, however, was excellent and fun.

Segway’g through the streets of D.C. and through the malls and museum districts was a great experience and opportunity to see more of the city faster without obstacles. It was a pretty safe option to take and A lot more fun than a open bus tour or fast pace walk. Wear comfy shoes!
