Waking: There will be standing and walking during this tour. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather as much of the tour is outdoors. DC can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Umbrellas and layers are recommended.
Please Note: The Library of Congress is closed on Mondays. Travelers will visit Capitol Museum instead on Mondays.

Extremely poorly timed and planned experience.

There was no advantage to taking the $$ tour, 70% of our time was wasted on dull film and boring cookie cutter staff lead tour. The other 20% getting from point A to B. Our guide rushed us around to watch doors close on all interesting parts.

I do not recommend the tour I felt that it was false advertising. We never went to the museum as an alternative since Library of Congress was closed Monday. We only went to Capitol Hill building that includes a tour guide to very limited access of the facility. Dwayne the tour guide promise our group to take photos and he would show us the best views for a photo he lied. Dwayne concluded the tour at 4:22pm it ended early and it was a huge disappointment. Rarely got any photos and I felt that Dwayne wanted the tour to end early. Definitely was not a pleasant experience and do not recommend paying for this experience you can enjoy on your own.

Please let us offer our sincerest apologies as there may have been a misunderstanding. The Capitol Visitor's Center museum features the catafalque and other artifacts, which Dwayne showed to our guests on Monday, instead of the Library of Congress. This is only offered on Mondays, which is noted on our website during booking. All advertised site visits were made during the tour. Tours of the U.S. Capitol building can vary in duration between 25-55 minutes. This is based on the assigned guides. To ensure that guests would enjoy the full experience, we toured the Capitol Visitor's Center museum first, and enjoyed the last tour of the day. Dwayne always offers photo opportunities for guests as is explained at the beginning of the tour.

Fantastic Capitol Building and Library of Congress Walking Tour

It was great to hear the stories and to experience the history of The Capitol Building and The Library of Congress on this walking tour. Our guide, Dwayne of Signature DC Tours, was fantastic. His knowledge about all the buildings that we walked by on our way to The Capitol and the Library of Congress as well as both buildings themselves was very, very extraordinary and insightful.

Out and about in DC

I happened to get lucky and be on a tour with only 4 others. Our guide was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about DC and other notes of history. Having only a half of a day to explore, I felt safe walking with a group, enjoyed being out and about, and being on this tour gets you in and out of spaces a lot easier and quicker. I took the bus tour the last time but this time I wanted to get in the Capitol and Library of Congress. If you have time, get a library card!
