Get to know Washington, DC's thriving beer scene on these guided daytime and evening brewery tours. Chat with brewery owners and learn about the equipment used to make beer, the brewing process and, of course, what all the different kinds of beer taste like—at least 15 to 20 of them, in fact.

Meet the expert beer guide and the rest of the tour group at the Smithsonian's Donald W. Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture. Learn from the guide about the beer-making process and what to expect during this inside look at four different DC- and Virginia-based breweries. This tour is perfect for beer beginners, aficionados, and home-based brewers alike. Also, find out what foods pair well with different styles of beer on either the daytime (lunch) or evening (dinner) tour.

On the daytime tour, enjoy tastings of at least 15 beers at four different breweries, with lunchtime food pairings at one of two local eateries. While the evening tour, showcases DC's bustling nightlife and brewpub scene, combining old-school brewhouses with some of the most popular microbreweries in the area. Enjoy tastings of 18 to 20 beers and a dinner food-pairing at a local brewery.

Jeremiah and Liz were a great duo in escorting the tour around DC and in stimulating the participants to get to know one another. They introduced us to four locations that we likely would not have found otherwise and introduced us to beers that we might not have otherwise tried, but which were quite delightful. It was a great way to end the holiday season before we all were snowed in the next day.

Our 7 person group had a variety of beer enthusiasts from no experience to experts. Even so, Steve did a great job of keeping us all entertained as well as informed. Steve picked out all our beers, we got a behind the scenes look at the breweries, and the driving was filled with beer history. It was a lot of fun and I recommend this tour to anyone who has even the slightest interest in beers (of any kind!)

On the surface, this seems to be the best beer tour everbut what a disappointment, especially for the . The guide was very knowledgeable about the beer-making process, but not very engaging. The first brewery was great! Fantastic beers, fun atmosphere, but it went downhill form there. Too much time spent in the van driving between breweries, and the last place was just kinda creepy. Dinner was advertised as not appetizers, but that's exactly what we gota plate full of apps. Recommend this tour only for the very adventurous.
