Traveller Tips

Trip home via GPS was uneventful and leaving D C after noon was best time to avoid traffic
we used this as our means of transportation around the city, it was a good way to get from attraction to attraction and learn a little bit along the way
Would recommend taking this bus tour on your first or second day in town.

Take the hopper!
David_W, Mar 2023
We caught the cherry blossoms before they peaked, enjoyed the smaller crowds of a Monday visit to DC, and were greatly entertained (and learned a few things) by the various shuttle drivers! First time to try the hopper and would highly recommend it as The Way to enjoy the sites at your leisure!
Don't waste your money!
Andrea_M, Mar 2023
They only took us to 5 stops. There weren't any opportunities to get back on. Traffic was terrible and it took forever to go anywhere. You're better off saving your money & walking.
We booked tickets for Sund tour. 24hrs before tour was to start, we cancelled booking, as unwell. No refund
sadia_r, Mar 2023
Unfortunately , there is no response to the customer service number which one is supposed to contact for cancelling a ticket for unexpected health reasons. DO NOT BOOK IN ADVANCE is my advice despite the price gouging.
They should have canceled!
Theresa_A, Mar 2023
We have enjoyed our experience on your tours in the past, but although I was assured the we would be able to jump on and off to see the sites, we were told that we were not assured someone would be stopping by to pick us up. Many of the stops were passed by. I feel we should be given credit for another day.
Well Worth It for First Timers!
Tanesha_S, Mar 2023
Excellent way to get around DC to capture the sites and history at your own leisure. My family had a great experience. Highly recommend!
A complete disappointment
Michelle_B, Mar 2023
Extremely disappointing tour. Our tour was split between 2 drivers. The first driver (Hollywood) was informative and friendly but the second driver (Ryan)absolutely made this trip miserable. He was rude and short with the riders. He also insisted on leaving his driver window open despite the fact that is was cold and raining and the riders were clearly freezing. We threw in the towel at the Air and Space museum. Feel completely cheated out of our money and what should have been a great experience.
FANTASTIC!!!
Robert_P, Mar 2023
Great way to get around, easy access to points of interest. Tour drivers were FANTASTIC! They were interactive and very informative regarding the history of Washington DC. We will use them again.
DC Hope on Tours
Cindy_B, Mar 2023
Excellent tour guides. Especially, Duke and Batman. Excellent knowledge about the area and un known information.
Was great to have a bus...
Jeremy_D, Mar 2023
Was great to have a bus that stopped and you where able to get off and explore the stop. The drivers were very knowledgeable.
Wouldn’t Hop and Off Again
Laura_H, Mar 2023
Our last driver was wonderful, the 2 before him were terrible guides. They talked too fast, acted bored. Not informative. They were 30 min late to the stop , then 2 buses came at the same time. We were waiting out in the cold thinking they would be there any minute. Then they took us to the starting point made us change buses told us to get on the bus across the street, she was on break, it was terrible and confusing. With Ubers all over, we will use those next time. Too much time is wasted waiting for, and trying to time just right, using the Hop on Bus.
Stacy was great! Learned...
Marianne_M, Mar 2023
Stacy was great! Learned a lot. I beed to plan a trip when I have more time. We had a great time on our time available.
Irritating
ALISON_M, Mar 2023
The family was excited to see the city, however, the excitement was a let down: 1) there was a marathon the day of the tour, which means, late start (Ie: 11:00am). Understand this was a scheduled activity, although, I wasn’t made aware until arrival at 9:00am of the delay until for a 11:00am start. 2) due to the late start and notice, we decided to walk ahead to each stop. Once the trolleys started to roll at 11:00am, we couldn’t find the “trolley stop” sign to access the hop on and off feature. The whole journey was a bust, we never got on the paid tour, instead walked over 7 miles (valuable to our step count). Just irritated with the late correspondence, time duration, and lack of signage.
A great experience!
Natasha_C, Mar 2023
I was in town on a business trip that allowed me to be in town over the weekend. I found this trip online and gave it a try. It didn’t disappoint. There was so much to see that I don’t think I got to see it all. I would definitely do this trip again.
History tour.
Deborah_M, Mar 2023
I enjoyed seeing the Capitol building and the Korean War memorial. I also liked hearing about the history of a lot of the buildings.
Knowledgeable, entertaining, and humorous
Peter_C, Mar 2023
I booked this for an afternoon when we were just arriving in DC, did not have much time, but my 12 year old wanted to see the buildings. I do not normally "do tours." I must say I was *very* impressed. Sasha was a delight. Knowledgeable, entertaining, and humorous. I was surprised at how much we learned and how fun it was. I would highly recommend this and will be returning.
Wonderful Experience.
Terri_T, Mar 2023
Buckeye was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. I really enjoyed myself.
Great time
David_L, Feb 2023
Great experience - great way to see the city and not worry about driving ! Driver very knowledgeable
Good tour guide and...
Judy_L, Feb 2023
Good tour guide and plenty of varieties of places the tour guides did a good guide and explain lots of things that are not in history books
We love the live...
Kellie_P, Feb 2023
We love the live presentation. Ryan was wonderful. It’s an affordable way to get around DC while hearing some history and facts about the city. The hop on, hop off gives flexibility to your day.
Great alternative to Metro/see the sites
Keri_P, Feb 2023
What a great way to start off your trip! Gives a high level overview of some of the key sites/attractions in the area, with the added facts from tour guide. The hop on/off option is a great alternative to using the Metro - with convenient stops at key locations. We got on at Stop 2 and rode all the way to Stop 14- was a great way to see the city and learn some cool facts on the ride. Our driver Duke was friendly and hospitable.
