What To Expect

At your selected departure time, meet your local guide and get fitted for a hybrid comfort bike near the National Mall, and embark on a bike tour of Washington DC's monuments and memorials.

Follow your guide at a leisurely pace over relatively flat terrain, using bike lanes that wind past notable historic landmarks in the dynamic capital. Stop en route to hear interesting facts from your guide about each site you visit, including the Washington Monument, a towering obelisk that honors the first US president.

Learn about the architectural features of the memorials along the Potomac Tidal Basin, including the stately Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial. Read the many famous quotes at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, and note the more than 58,000 names on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a tribute to men and women who served in the Vietnam War.

Tours begin on time, your tour check-in time is important. You must check-in 15 minutes prior to tour departure time. We can not guarantee we can accommodate late customers. Please OPEN your voucher and read directions, you may need extra time to find us if you are traveling during rush hour or on metro train on a weekend.
Tour may be canceled if the weather makes for dangerous riding conditions
Trailer carriages and trailer tandems are available for children not old enough or comfortable on their own bikes
To ride in a trailer carriage, children must be 12 months and able to hold up their heads and wear a helmet
We reserve the right to outfit youth riders on equipment appropriate for their size and safety. If any of your riders are 4'4" or shorter, please make sure you've spoken to us once you've booked.

Late arriving participants risk forfeiture of their seats. Instead, guests may be offered a rental bike and/or rescheduled based on availability. Rescheduling fee may apply.
This tour covers approximately five miles of rider over three hours. It is appropriate for the casual exerciser.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Joe Brady was a fun and engaging guide! The tour was informative and allowed us to see so many sites in a matter of three hours! Joe accommodated all ages of the group well and put a lot of thought unti the route with a group of 16 riders on a busy, Spring Break holiday. The tour is hosted by Unlimited Bike which is right by the pier. There are a couple of good eats around the area also. The tour is 3 hours long (10am-1pm) starting with the staff handing out helmets (Specialized) and bikes. Our tour guide Eric gave a brief instruction and then we were going. For non proficient bike riders, the group does wait for you. It’s around 5 mile ride stopping at all the main sites for 10 min pictures and or bathroom break. Overall a great tour with preteen and teen kids. Would recommend!

Solid tour, got to all of main monuments and got a little tidbit on each from Wally. We were only 2 on eBikes and had maybe 10 others that were not. Differences in pace make it less enjoyable and would have been good for water to be available. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Wonderful experience! It is a 3-hour tour, however frequent stops are made to visit each monument briefly. I do recommend you bring bottled water. It would be nice is bikes had bottle holders. They ARE very nice bikes, beautifully maintained. Tour guide was fantastic.

I don’t think there is much value for doing a guided tour, when you can rent bicycles everywhere near the mall. We did both and I would opt to go in my own next time so I dont have to wait for others.

Big big thank you for making this tour happen for us. Alex was amazing and gave us plenty of time at the monuments. We hit all of the high spots and got some interesting information along the way. The tour ended up being a little over 4 hours and the time flew by. We’ll be back, and this tour is a must do again and again!
