If you’d like to explore the dramatic landscapes of the Zion National Park but aren’t up for extreme sports, this family friendly sandboarding adventure at Peekaboo slot canyon is ideal. Don’t worry about driving off-road as your guide does all the driving on this tour. Ride a UTV and hike into the canyon, then grab your dune board for some active fun. You can sled down on the board if you prefer.

Red Canyon Slot Aka Peek a boo trailhead
Kanab, UT 84741, USA
We will meet in the parking area of Peek-A-Boo Trailhead about 15 minutes north of Kanab. There are signs on the highway showing the turnoff. The turn is on highway 89 between mile markers 72 and 73. I will send a direct link before we meet up.

This was SUCH an amazing tour! You do a slot canyon min hike first then the sandboarding. Both were amazing and it was our very favorite day of vacation. Our guides were incredible. They were friendly, funny, helpful. We were a party of 8 - 4 kids (10, 11, 13 and 13) and 4 adults and everyone said this was their favorite day. THANK YOU!

What a terrific and fun way to get up the mountain to Slot Canyon! Our guide, Jared, was absolutely the best in tailoring our adventure to fit our group. Due to flash flooding in the canyon 4 days earlier there were spots of knee deep water in the canyon that Jared placed rocks and logs in to help us cross., and gave us fascinating information about the formation of the canyon. When we reached the sand boarding hill he made sure each of us could have a turn before jumping back in the UTV to race back before the incoming storm. It was a great experience and I would recommend for families.

Jared, our guide, was outstanding in all respects. We took the 5:00pm ride. The Razor ride was outstanding and the slot canyon was really neat with the sun just perfect for all of the colors in the canyon walls. The sand boarding was a perfect way to end the tour. Jared was really great with helping our young granddaughter in the sand boarding. Would highly recommend this tour.

My parents, myself and my husband had a fantastic time with Jared. From start to finish the company has had great communication about where we were to meet and what was expected. They provided so much adventure to an UTV ride. Jared made us feel comfortable trying sand boarding for the first time. Then we went to the slotted canyon, twhich was truly breath taking! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the terrain, history and how the slot was formed. I’ve never been in such awe. Overall the tour was truly memorable. Thank you Jared for being awesome!!

The ride was great fun. Peekaboo Canyon was an incredible experience. Dustin was a terrific host and shared so much knowledge with us. The sand surfing was fun, but walking up the dune is very difficult. This was a great family adventure.
