Wonderful tour for a rest day!

We had a phenomenal time on our tour of peek-a-boo canyon. This was our "easy" day during our stay in Kanab, and the tour absolutely fit the bill. It's a relatively level walk through this stunning slot canyon. Very glad we decided to do the tour, as the route to get to the canyon is a couple miles of deep sand. We went early, and our tour group of 4 was one of two there, though we passed a few different tours on the way back out.
Bonus - Ken took us through the Best Friends Sanctuary land around Kanab Canyon on our way back, including a quick stop at an underground lake and a walk through the pet cemetery.

Amazing Slot Canyon

Had a good experience with Josh. He was knowledgeable about the area and shared stories with us. He also took an amazing panoramic picture of us with my cell phone. The ride was quite bumpy, but that is to be expected on the sand roads. Glad to have water provided! More AC in the Jeep would have been nice. It was a hot day.

Definitely worth the trip when it’s not available to the whole public. Definitely need those cars to get through the dirt sand roads. I enjoyed going early morning to have less tourist in my pictures. Justin was very sweet. Also, people in my group was super sweethearts by volunteering to help my mom up a few rocks. Not intensive at all and that’s why I chose this place for my mom to go with me.

This tour was AMAZING!! Me and my mom went and it was one of the biggest highlights of our 2 week trip to Utah. We went with a small group of 5, us and another nice couple, and our guide. It was really nice to get to experience this wonder with such a small group. Our guide was so lovely! He took great photos for us, showed us tutorials on how to get the best photos, and was very patient with us. Since he was a local, he also gave us lots of information that was really interesting to hear. We were honestly a little scared when we saw “hike” on the listing, but trust me it was very, very easy. There is a small, three step wooden ladder you have to climb to get to the rest of the canyon towards the end of the tour, but other than that there is nothing to worry about in terms of going through the canyon. The drive is honestly the worst part! The road the guides use to get there are in the sand and it was surprisingly REALLY BUMPY. So, if you have neck and back issues, the car ride there might be a problem. But, the “hike” was more like a nice stroll and it was worth every penny spent!! I would 100% recommend doing this while you’re in town!

The drive in through the deep sand is definitely an experience. It is the real-life Indianan Jones experience. Our guides are expert drivers. If you do have back or neck problems the guides can take it extra slow to minimize the bumps and bounces. They do all that they can to make it a fun experience going through the deep sand.

I have been to Peek-a-Boo slot canyon with my husband and we hike through the dunes to the canyon. I was very hard and I don’t recommend it. This time I went with my mom and we booked this tour. I would have to say it was the best decision. Our tour guide, Kenny was very knowledgeable and I loved to hear his childhood adventures into the canyon and how this canyon is changing with time. I would highly recommend this tour and we had a great time exploring the canyon
