What To Expect

Depart from a central Zurich location in a comfortable, climate-controlled coach and relish scenic Swiss vistas as you travel along the shores of Lake Lucerne to the city of Lucerne. On arrival, enjoy some time at leisure and see popular landmarks like the Lion Monument, Rathaus (Town Hall) and Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge).

Continue by coach to Engelberg, a mountain resort cradled by the Swiss Alps. Climb aboard a Rotair, a rotating cable car that affords panoramic Alpine vistas, and ascend to a dizzying height of 10,623 feet (3, 238 meters).

Take in 360-degree views and then disembark at Mt. Titlis’ snowy summit. Enjoy some free time to visit the magical Ice Palace and ride the Ice Flyer (not included if snow experience option selected), if the weather allows, in order to get closer to frozen crevices. Soar down a snow slide in Glacier Park and summon your courage to walk over Europe’s highest suspension bridge, the Titlis Cliff Walk.

Warm up with a steaming beverage (own expense) and then reconvene with your guide for the return journey to central Zurich.

In winter, from December to March, you can choose the Snow Experience option. Your adventure starts at Trübsee station. Slide down the hill on snow tubes and try skiing once in a lifetime on the beginner slopes – definitely a memorable experience you shouldn't miss. A Titlis Snow Park staff member will provide the equipment and supervise the activities.

The Ice Flyer was our favorite. The gondola ride provided great views of the mountains and countryside. Hearing the cowbells was a great experience, and learning why they wore the bells. The rating would have been 5 star if we had more time in Lucerne. One hour was not enough

Great drive to Lucerne and the drive to Mount Titlis. The guide was very good with information along the way. The stop in Lucerne was an hour which allowed you to wonder the sites and have a quick drink or snack. Mount Titlis was up in the clouds so we couldn’t see much but the ride up, the chairlift and the walk over the glacier was worth it. Food at the top was good and had good variety. It would have been a super tour if the weather was better.

The tour was very well organized and professionally conducted. We had Two guides, namely, Sonia and Rafel. Both of them were very courteous and knew what they were doing. They gave instructions that were very simple and easy to understand. The tour is worth undertaking as it is simply breathtaking, every step of the way. Money and time well spent.

Generally the trip is very amazing and we have opportunity to see villages, lakes, animals and mountains.

The places visited were all good, but Switzerland Tours really needs to change the time spent in each place. We spent 52 minutes in Lucerne and the guides told us they couldn't extend the time. They actually left 2 people behind. Mount Titlis was fun but needed only 3 hours to see everything. not 4. Ride home was a traffic mess but guides didn't try to explain anything. Not the best tour for the money. You could take the train yourself from Zurich to Lucerne and not be rushed at a third of the cost.

We understand that you would like to spend more time in Lucerne, it is indeed a wonderful city. Nevertheless, our Titlis tour has a fixed schedule that we need to follow in order to be on time at the Titlis cable car station and at our meeting points at the end of the journey. For those interested in visiting Lucerne for a longer time, we recommend joining one of our other tours, such as Lucerne with Yacht Cruise where they can enjoy six hours of free time. It is true that we have specific schedules to meet with designated meeting times, and we kindly ask our guests to stick to them. But it is also fair to mention that the two individuals who were unable to join the group in Lucerne were more than 10 minutes late. With a schedule to follow, it is unfortunately not possible to wait longer, and also, the rest of the guests who arrived on time deserve a punctual departure. In any situation, our support team is always available to assist our guests if they have any difficulties finding the meeting point. Please note that our guests enjoy a total stay of 2 ¼ hours to explore the summit and enjoy lunch, never 4. Otherwise, the ending time of the tour would be at 21:00, which isn’t the case. This has proved to be enough time to participate in all activities and relax at the summit before the return journey. Our tour guides are trained to provide rich information about the history and culture of the country during the tour. However, in the evening and after a long day in the mountains, most of our guests feel tired and appreciate a quiet atmosphere on the way back. Nevertheless, our tour guides are always available for their guests in case any questions arise at any point during the tour. Mt Titlis, like any other destination in Switzerland, can of course be visited individually. By public transport, it would cost CHf 76.- and would involve taking a train and a bus only to reach the cable car station. We truly regret to hear that you felt this tour was not worth your money as it is CHF 3.- less expensive than the total journey by public transport. The information provided by the tour guide during the bus ride about our country and culture and having someone to look after the group are the main reasons why our guests opt for a fully guided tour. We are very happy to read that the places visited were wonderful and that you had a lot of fun at Mount Titlis. Breathtaking Views!

We absolutely loved our Mount Titlis and Lucerne Day trip! It was definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip and I would recommend to anyone who is looking for amazing views. The view from the top of Mount Titlis is breathtaking, and there are multiple ways to get different vantage points of the mountains while up top. Lucerne is such a cute and charming town and we are so happy we got to spend some time exploring here as well. Our tour guide was amazing, she was very helpful and knowledgable during our tour. We loved this tour also because during the time spent exploring, you can choose to stay with your tour guide or you can adventure off on your own and go at your own pace to check out everything as you wish. We loved this experience!

We all enjoyed this trip. The views up the mountain were marvelous. The change from no snow down the mountain to snow high up the mountain was an experience. The ride up and down were great. The walk around Lucerne didn't particularly add value. I would choose a tour without that stop.
