Wonderful trip

Wonderful trip. We enjoyed ourselves during the whole trips in Zurich, Switzerland. The tour guide explained us history of buildings, People and their culture in details.

Location hard to find

We missed it! We could not find the meeting place. We asked at our hotel, a biker in the street, 2 women walking, a police officer, and even a taxi driver. We gave up. No one knew where Limmitstrasde, or whatever it was, was.

Great but longer than needed

Picturesque and four modes of transportation. The guide was great. But we had over tow hours on top of the mountain. Unless you are a hiker or shopper there is nothing to do after the first half hour of picture taking.

This was the worst tour I’ve been on through Viator. I planned it for my first day in Zürich so I could get a feel for the city. We drove around on the bus where you couldn’t really see anything and didn’t have a way to take pictures. We then took a walking tour of old town, which was basically just a courtyard. This was all very rushed so the people that were going on the including boat tour could get to the pier. The boat tour group was instructed to walk to the pier on their own, while the bus returned the rest of the participants to the original pick up point. The boat tour people had to get back on their own. Since I was unfamiliar with the city and quite some distance from my hotel, I had to figure out how to purchase a transportation pass and negotiate the Zürich transportation system without speaking the language. This proved to be quite challenging, I was not a task I was prepared for at the time .

Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and I learnt a lot about the city! I think there was quite a bit of wasted time though, and other parts of the city that would have been more beautiful as photo stops rather than the ones we were taken to.

The best way to tour the city especially on a rainy day. The guide was pretty good with explaining all things about Zurich old town, the gold and silver coast. The extended tour is a food taste of the city plus nearby experiences on a gondola ride.

If only one day in Zurich…

Gil and our driver were such gentlemen and wonderful hosts. We were a family of 8 traveling with young twins. The pace was perfect and we so enjoyed learning about Zurich and seeing sights we never would have discovered on our own. Loved the view from the top of the hill and cable car ride!!

I really enjoyed this tour. I only had 2 days in Zurich and I wanted to see as much as I could. I would not have done the areas on this excursion on my own regarding the cable car and I’m glad I got to see the view from the top and see a more outer region of zurich.

The tour lady is very friendly, knowledgeable and kind. She Gave us the history, culture, political and of city Zurich and the country of Switzerland . She did a great job. The only thing that we not satisfied was the hours was too short . We need more Time to walk on the city and sight seeing.

Not all good or bad

This trip was not all English speaking and could not hear a lot of what was said. The stops were very quick & as older adults we really had a hard time keeping up. At the bathroom stop the guide did not know if you had to pay for the toilet or not, which I thought would be helpful to participants. The sights were really nice and we met some wonderful people which is why I graded it a 3… make the most with what your surrounded with.
