If you’re looking for a day trip from Zurich to Zermatt, I really recommend this trip! Our local guide was super nice, friendly, calm, and kind. We got to ride on the train and cogwheel to get to the top of the mountain. It was super beautiful once we started riding the cogwheel to get to the top. The village was super cute too. It’s a perfect one day trip indeed!

Had a great time to zermatt and Mount Matterhorn with my daughters. Our guide Martin was the best guide ever , showed us all the places well . The train rides were amazing.

Loved the many trains we took which enabled me to see the courntryside. It was a clear day so could see the Matterhorn. The ZOOM presentation was good to see the Matterhorn at different seasons.

Beautiful But Not Worth the Price

The views of Switzerland are stunning. The trip to Zermatt and the Matterhorn are breathtaking. We enjoyed all the modes of transportation as each leg of the journey brought more beauty. Sadly we were unable to see the Matterhorn because of cloud cover. We were also basically rained out in Zermatt. Our tour guide Abraham made sure we made all our train connections. All in all though I didn’t think this tour was worth the $500 plus per person. I think the Jungfraugh Top of the World tour was infinitely better and $200 less expensive.

Just compare: Jungfraujoch was a group of 40 people, travelling by coach. We have small group tours (on this day just 4 guests) and you travel all by train, as it would be impossible to visit Zermatt out of Zürich in one day. Due to this, you pay the full train fare, which increases the price for sure. But the train is much more comfy compared to the coach. And you nearly had a private tourguide, what you never had on the mass-tourist-tour to Jungfraujoch.

Amazing Day!

I was nervous to book this, but it turnes out to be the most amazing day. The scenery on the train was amazing, Zermat is one of the most wonderful villages, and to see Matterhorn was astonishing. Our guide, Rachel, was the best. We had a small group of 5 amd what we did and how we spent our time was up to us. Rachel walked us around Zermat and let us have some time on our own to explore. One of the best tpurs I have taken.

Whilst this is a long day...

Whilst this is a long day it is a great opportunity to spend time in the alps if your time in Switzerland is limited. We really enjoyed the train travel through different landscapes and the trains to Zermatt and Gornergrat were quite exceptional. Sadly the Matterhorn was shrouded in cloud but the experience was still wonderful. Martin led our tour very efficiently and effectively making sure each traveller was comfortable with the way the day as it was unfolding.

A “summit” experience!!!

We were blessed with perfect weather and the perfect guide! Rolf was patient, kind, flexible, adaptive, knowledgeable, relatable, and provided just enough info to make it a great learning experience but not too much for it to be overwhelming. The train had a hiccup and Rolf dealt with it like a professional - providing updates and options. We loved how relational he was and did everything in his power to make the trip enjoyable. The weather was the cherry on top! We would highly recommend this trip. Although a long day, worth every minute (and penny). Ask for Rolf - he’s the BEST!!!

Beautiful tour, all the logistics are planned out for you by the guide, so you don't have to worry about all the various trains to catch (there are MANY!). Guide that was training with my guide had inaccurate information regarding The Matterhorn vs. Everest as the deadliest climbing mountain, but that's no biggie.

An amazing trip of a lifetime

The meeting point needs some sort of signage etc. I ran around for over 25 mins trying to find the group meeting place. I had to ask so many people and received no help. One gentleman was finally able to point me in the right direction. Once on the train and the sweat being wiped away from trying to find the meeting spot all was spectacular the rest of the day. What a fantastic experience!! Getting the first glimpse of the Matterhorn on the train, I got so excited I could hardly wait to see it up close. Back down to Zermatt I was super excited to see this charming town. We didn't have much time there which was a bumber as I could have easily spent a few hours there eating and doing some shopping and going in some of the magnificent hotels. Would love to return one day....
