What To Expect

Meet your guide in central Zurich, and hop aboard your coach for a highlights tour of the city.

Pass the castle-like National Museum, the shopping avenue of Bahnhofstrasse, and Zürich's famous financial district, learning about the history of the area from your guide as you go. Enjoy views of Lake Zürich before traveling past the renowned Opera House to the Zürichberg district.

Visit noble quarters with magnificent villas from past times. Take in panoramic views of the city and the Alps before heading to the university quarter.

There, see the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich) and Zürich's Museum of Art, arriving in the charming Old Town. Learn about Zürich's history as you walk through the medieval streets and admire the town hall, St. Peter's Church with Europe's largest clock face, the Grossmünster cathedral, and the Fraumünster church, which showcases stained glass windows designed by Marc Chagall.

Continue to the banks of Lake Zurich and climb aboard a boat for a sightseeing cruise. After taking in the surrounding scenery from the water, enjoy a leisurely walk along the shores to the Lindt Chocolate shop in Kilchberg to sample some of the specialties of the world-famous chocolate factory. When we first entered, the mesmerizing chocolate fountain caught our gazes, automatically filling our hearts with pure joy and thrill. The journey was excellent as well, lots of chocolate.

Tour was ok. To be fair, walking around Zurich on your own would work fine. Guide had a monotone voice that put you to sleep but reallylikes his job. Lindt factory was very enjoyable.

Fantastic bus tour of Zurich, followed by waking tour and boat ride to the Lindt Tour/museum. This is a MUST do for chocolate lovers ! Our tour guide Elizabeth was knowledgeable and friendly. The day transit pass was an added bonus. Well worth it

All our guests receive a 24-hour ticket which starts being valid at the moment the group embarks on the boat ride. After the visit to the museum, guests can either take the boat or bus/tram back to the city. We consider this a nice add-on that contributes to the overall value of the tour as it offers our guests the possibility to continue exploring the city like a local after our tour. this tour was overrated, waste of time. You could have caught the ferry and did the tour without the guide and it Lindt tour was done through an audio guide rather than an actual person.

Not worth the money at all!

Didn't feel this trip was worth the money at all. We had a little tour around Zurich in the coach, the tour wasn't really that good, just pointing out the basics like the main station etc. We then took the boat (20 mins) over to the the other side of the river where we had to walk to the Lindt Museum. The trip pretty much finishes there as you do the museum on your own then make your own way back. The museum itself was busy and not very good, as I said you are just left to go round on your own, although you do get to try some chocolate at the end, and the gift shop is surprisingly well priced. One plus is you do get a 24 hour travel ticket included which gets you on all the trams and trips on the lake. (NOTE. This does not include journeys to the airport). Overall not worth the money, you can do it all separate for a fraction of the price.

I attempted to cancel this tour in favor of a guided tour to Lucerne at 10 times the fee. I never received a response.

The memory consists of a non-response from Viator on charging me for two trips on the same day. The tour to Lucerne was excellent, but since it replaced this tour of Lake and Lindt, i cannot comment on that tour.
