This was one of my favorite tours I have taken! I learned so much about Pompeii and our guide Sasa was phenomenal. The wine tasting was also amazing and so beautiful!
Fabulous experience!

Our tour guide Sasa was incredible. Very knowledgeable, very dedicated to the history of Pompeii. The Van service was door to door. Picked us up in the morning, took us to each of the locations, then took us home at the end of the day. We generally do not like tours with groups but this was a small group and once we arrived at Pompeii they made it even smaller (10 people). This really was a well organized, well thought out, and well executed tour. I highly recommend!!!!
Too short, too much driving, no direction

Very mixed review--I am not unhappy that we saw what we saw but a lot of the day was driving, it was very disjointed, and I felt like we lost out on a lot of what we should have seen at Pompeii. The main reason we booked this tour was to see pompeii and get a good tour with an expert. I had been to Pompeii once before 11 years ago but didn't get a tour. I feel like I got way more out of it then compared to now.
We spent just barely 2 hours inside of Pompeii with the guide. It sounds like enough but we saw and talked about maybe 5 things. Our guides Sasa was pretty repetitive so I felt like I wasn't gaining a lot of information with each additional stop. He also did not talk as he walked so we would walk for 5 or 10 minutes, passing a lot, then stop and talk for 5 minutes. He also included a lot of unnecessary commentary on himself and his family saying how they were definitely from Pompeii and talking about the heights of each of the generations. Some normal color is totally expected on a tour but it felt like at least 20% of the discussion. Additionally, while he took us to some cool, less crowded areas, it seemed like he was guiding us on the easiest area possible rather than the areas with the most interesting items. We needed at least another hour and to do more of the central things in pompeii and definitely more commentary throughout. Lastly, he said at least 10 times what a great deal we were getting with this combo tour (spending a lot of time he could have been talking about pompeii talking about this instead) which is fine but was very isolating to the 2 women who were not a part of that combo. If I were to tour pompeii again I would not do it with this company (enjoy pompeii) and definitely not with Sasa.
The Mt Vesuvius hike was also similarly rushed. It actually took almost an hour to drive there despite being close in mileage and they only gave us about an hour to go up and back. They said this is because it takes 20 min to walk to the top but there is no way in h*** you can do that in 20 minutes. We were rushing, going as fast as we could, and did it in about 30 minutes. To do this we could not really stop at any of the vistas along the way to enjoy the view. We tried to do the top in 5 minutes but could have easily spent 30 minutes walking around the crater. There was also a little cafe up there that would have been great to enjoy if we could. After 5 or so minutes we had to leave to make it to the car in time and it was again very difficult because the grounds are not well kept so we were sliding with almost every step. I fell and cut my leg pretty badly within the first few steps down the mountain. With pretty much no railings, we barely made it back down the mountain to the parking lot in 30 minutes not even stopping to do more than spray water on my leg. They offered no assistance once we got back to the car and I had to clean it up with tissues and water I had onhand.
The best part of the day was the winery. It is at the base of the volcano and just stunning. Great wines. Fantastic lunch. Cute tour. The only negative was that the way the tour was arranged we were picked up at 8am and didn't get to eat lunch until 3pm. This was so late and we were all starving.
At each of these places it would have been great to have another hour to relax and take it in rather than being pushed to the next place. We didn't have someone who was with us the whole day as well so it was just disjointed and we had no idea what was happening from one moment to another.
I would tour pompeii and do the winery again but would definitely cut the mountain. And I would not use this company.
Best tour ever

I've been on a LOT of tours and this was hands down the best yet and worth every penny. Started with a nice air conditioned comfortable ride to Pompeii. Pompeii is mind blowing!!! I won't spoil, but it's a must see. Next was up to Vesuvius - you hike to the top. Wear comfortable shoes! There are 3-4 little bars/rest stops on the way up. We only had an hour there and it took about 30 minutes to walk to the top so I recommend get to the top as fast as possible then stop at the bars coming down if you have extra time. It was beautiful!!!!! After Vesuvius we did the wine tasting with lunch. The tour was quick and informative and lunch was quick as well. Delicious and simple and they had vegetarian options if you need that. Wine was delicious! Then a nice ride back to Amalfi. Our driver Giovanni is a local and was amazing. Highly recommend this tour if you want to maximize several experiences into one day! If you want a 2 hour lunch, or if you don't like walking, this might not be for you. We went end of July and wore hats and brought water. It is hot in Pompeii but we got there early (9am) which missed most of the crowds. Our guide brought us to the interesting spots first and it was perfect. Thank you!!!!
Wow, a must

What a day!! Do this, really. Melania is a great guide, very knowledgeable and easygoing and proud to be from pompeii( i get you :-)) our driver was amazing, good and attentive. Vesuvius, be prepared, bring an umbrella, lots of water. It is something in the heat. BUT, just do it :-) the winery!!! What a great place. Good food and the owner is a sweetheart.
Don't be fooled, there is a hike in this!

Melania was absolutely fantastic! Had the most information on Pompei and was close to the Archaeologists. It was such an amazing experience. I highly recommend to have her as your Pompei tour guide. Also, don't be fooled, there is a hike at Mt. Vesuvio when going to the winery and the volcano. Please dress appropriately. It's very steep!
