Saint Francis Assisi small group Tour

Alessandra was a fantastic tour guide. Her passion and knowledge showed at every landmark of the tour. She was accommodating to all in the group. We just loved this tour the best out of the whole of Italy tours. Thanks Alessandra you are the best!!

The tour was very basic and merely descriptive of what we were seeing. The guide did not share interesting stories and facts about the city and its sights. It was quite shallow, we could learn more on Wikipedia.

Our tour guide, Mike, was phenomenal. We took a number of Viator tours during our vacation in Italy - this Assisi tour was by far, the best. Mike's scope of knowledge and passion were incredible and as a "small group" we were really able to optimize on his gifts and talents. Highly recommend.

It was a totally amazing experience with our tour guide Francesca. She was friendly, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Assisi is like being in heaven while here on earth. It is peaceful, beautiful and spiritual. This tour brought out some of the main highlights that we wanted to see and experience. There is much more to do but in one day this tour was perfect. It gave us time to experience Assisi on our own once we were done with the tour and absorb it all. Perfect tour guide. Perfect tour.

Amazing! Highly recommend this tour, especially with Alessandra. She was so knowledgeable and kept us all interested the entire time. It was a 3 hour tour but it flew by, we learned so much about St.Francis, and Saint Clare as well as the beautiful artwork of Assisi.

My wife and I recently stayed in Assisi as part of our 2-week exploration and travels in Umbria. We generally do not take tours in the places that we visit, but felt that Assisi and the Basilica deserved one. What a pleasure it was to walk around the city and through the grand church with Simona, our friendly and VERY knowledgeable guide. She pointed out and educated us about things that the typical guidebook would probably had skipped or passed over. The tour was nice and personal as there was just one other couple on the tour with us. We are really glad that we decided to book this tour and would certainly recommend it to others. This group was about 12 people. Our guide, Valentina, was easy to understand in English. She is well educated on the history of Assisi back to 1 BC. She explains geography of the land, architecture of the buildings, political changes throughput the centuries and more. Seems to know an answer to every question. Walks at a good pace and very kind to wait in anyone who struggles with the up and down hills. Some guests had not seen it was an extra fee for the headset to use in St Francis basilica so just want to mention it is 3 euros for that. We found the tour very interesting. Recommend taking it

We really enjoyed our tour with Merica(sp?). She knew her history frontward and backward and we learned so very much of Assisi’s past. She was not tied to the clock which was so nice. We stopped for breaks, allowing us to regroup and her enthusiasm for what we saw was so wonderful and our time flew by. Assisi was so much more meaningful to us because of her. St. Francis and St. Chiara are examples for all us. Their sacrifice and meaning are inspiring!
