Alessandra was personable, knowledgeable, and customized everything so that I got a tour suited exactly to my level of art history knowledge. She was absolutely delightful and took care to show me all the most important things with fascinating explanations - not always easy to accomplish in a sacred setting with mandatory silence. I greatly enjoyed this information-packed tour and I highly recommend my guide!!.... Had the best cinghiale in a little bar following the tour - do try the wild boar...

Our guide Mateo was met with a day of challenges. Pouring rain, thousands of visitors to Assisi during their holiday, and tour restrictions to all the churches. He still was able to convey passionately the history of Assisi and the stories of St Francis and St Clare. No one could control the circumstances of the day but a good guide is able meet the challenges.
